Chapter 31

I didn't get a wink of sleep last night, the note memorized in my head. I never thought Ryder would have any psychotic or violent behavior to him, but I guess that showed otherwise. Antonio could tell I was exhausted and begged for me to stay home and skip out on work, but I refused.

"I'm sorry I'm acting like this, I'm just really tired."

Antonio smiled and kissed my forehead. "It's okay, I promise. I still wish you would stay home."

"I know, but Fridays are always busy, and I promised Frank I would work tonight."

"It's okay, doll. I just want you to be safe."

"I will."

"If you need anything, please. I am begging you, call me."

"I will."

"I want you to be safe, I would hate if something happened to you."

"I'll be okay, Antonio. I promise."

I kept my eyes peeled all night, making sure that Ryder would not show up. "Tally, you don't need to be nervous, we're watching out for you." Frank said, patting my shoulder.

"Thank you."

Even knowing they were protecting me still did not make me any more relaxed. I already couldn't wait for work to end just so I could see Antonio.

It was finally 2:30 and I called Antonio after helping Frank close for the night. "Hi, love."

"Hey."

"How was your night?"

"It was alright."

"Did you eat?"

"I did earlier, yeah. I just kind of want to go back to your place."

"Of course."

The rest of the car ride remained silent, Antonio's hand placed on my leg. After we got to his house, I changed and laid in his bed. "What's on your mind, doll?"

"Just a long night is all."

"Tally, I want to ask you something."

"Anything."

"How do you feel about me?"

"Emotionally or physically?"

"Both, I guess."

"I like you very much. I am not sure if I have made it obvious, but you are unlike any guy I have met."

"Do you mean that or are you just saying that to satisfy me?"

"I 110% mean it. How about you?"

"I feel the same way. I see a lot of potential with you, Tally and I know you've been on the fence in terms of being my sugar baby, but that's not solely what I want. I think we have a great bond and I enjoy your company very much. Hell, if I had a choice, I'd spend 24 hours a day with you."

"Me too."

"But I really would like for you to think about my offer, okay?"

"Antonio, I need to deeply think about it, and I would prefer to not talk about it."

"Of course. Well, goodnight."
