I wake up to the sound of someone knocking on my door.
Groaning, I pull myself out of bed and stumble towards the door.
When I open it, Himeros quickly barges into my room and begins rummaging through my clothes chest.
"Uh... what are you doing?" I ask, annoyed.
"Your wedding is today!" He exclaims worriedly.
"Yeah, so? Why does that justify you being a nuisance?" I reply, unsure as to why he is freaking out.
"Wait... you already know?" He asks, surprised.
"Yeah, I only found out about it yesterday from Zephyros because I guess Hermes never bothers to do his job." I answer, rolling my eyes.
"About that..." He trails off nervously, "Hermes sort-of mistook me for you, and sort-of told me when the wedding was, and I sort-of forgot to tell you."
"You 'sort-of' forgot?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"Ok yes, I 'sort-of' forgot," He confesses, "but you might wanna hurry up and get dressed, you've got less than thirty minutes before the wedding starts."
"Thirty minutes!?" I exclaim, "why didn't you wake me up earlier!"
"Trust me, I tried." He glares.
"Sorry..." I mumble, closing my eyes and pinching the bridge of my nose tiredly.
He shakes his head and takes a deep breath.
"Just get changed," He orders, "and meet me downstairs in ten minutes."
I nod obediently.
As soon as I shut the door, I sigh heavily, running a hand through my hair.
"For the record we tried waking you up too." Agape states.
Ludus nods in agreement.
I only sigh as I walk to my clothes chest.
Opening it, I grab a large rectangle of dark red linen and fashion it into the style of a short chiton, I then tie a zone around my waist, and strap my sandals to my feet.
"So, how do I look?" I ask, turning to face them.
"A little... plain." Agape admits.
"Well, Psyche won't be able to see him, not yet anyway." Ludus reminds.
"That is true..." Agape sighs.
I roll my eyes playfully, "Thank you both so much for easing my nerves."
"Anytime." Agape laughs lightly.
"Well, we'd better leave soon if we don't want to miss the procession." Ludus states.
"Right," I agree, "let's go."
I grab my bow and quiver while Agape and Ludus take their place on my wings.
When I get downstairs, I see Himeros standing by the door, waiting for me.
"Finally, we should hurry before-" He stops when he looks behind me.
I turn to see our mother approaching us.
"Good morning, my boys." She greets us warmly, giving us both a hug.
"Morning mother." We chorus in unison, returning the embrace.
She pulls away, "Where are you two headed so early?"
"We're going to go shoot Dionysus with some more arrows." Himeros lies smoothly.
"Dionysus?" Our mother questions suspiciously, "are you sure that is necessary?"
