I sit slumped in one of the many uncomfortable stone thrones in the halls of Olympus, bored out of my mind.

To the left of me sits Himeros, who has been talking non stop despite my lack of attention, and to the right of me is my mother, who keeps glancing worriedly at me.

"Eros, darling, are you ok?" She finally asks.

I raise an eyebrow at her question, "Why wouldn't I be?"

"You seem awfully tired lately," My mother explains, "are you sleeping alright?"

"Oh, I would say he is sleeping very well." Himeros cuts in, smirking slyly.

I punch him on the shoulder, "Shut up, slinthead!"

He winces in pain as he holds his arm, glaring daggers at me.

Our mother looks between the two of us before speaking, "What exactly do you mean by that, Himeros?"

He smiles smugly, "Well it turns out Eros isn't as-"

I sigh in relief as he is cut off by Zeus' voice booming throughout the hall, "Silence!"

Himeros immediately falls silent, but the smirk never leaves his face.

"Apollo!" Zeus calls out, "what did I say about the tree?"

Apollo sighs in defeat as he stands and throws the tree off of Olympus.

As he returns to his seat, Zeus continues.

"Tonight we shall throw a party in honor of our newest family member, and wife of Dionysus, Ariadne!" He declares enthusiastically.

A chorus of cheers erupt throughout the hall, I glance at Dionysus who is smiling lovingly at his new wife sitting upon his lap.

I sigh heavily as my thoughts drift off to my own beautiful wife, wishing night would come quickly so I can join her once again.

My thoughts are interrupted by my mother calling out to me, "Eros?"

I snap out of my trance, "Huh?"

She raises an eyebrow at my response, "I was saying that we should start decorating for the party tonight."

"Right." I reply absentmindedly, still distracted by thoughts of Psyche.

My mother stands and I follow suit, walking down the long hallway.

Once we reach the banquet hall, I begin helping Himeros hang the rose garlands.

"What exactly were you going to tell mother?" I whisper.

"Hmm?" He responds, sounding confused.

"Before Zeus stopped you, what were you going to tell her?" I repeat, trying to hide the annoyance in my voice.

He laughs, "Oh, just how you are aren't as chaste as she thinks."

I glare at him, "Are you dense? Why would you say something that could raise suspicion!?"

"I wanted to see how red your face would get." He smiles mischievously.

"Did you even care to think about what would happen if she finds out about me and Psyche!?" I whisper angrily.

His only response is a nonchalant shrug.

I growl in frustration, "Don't you understand how serious this is!?"

He rolls his eyes, "Relax, will you? When did you start taking everything so seriously?"

"Ever since you shot me and made me betray mother!" I growl lowly.
