"What now?" Thad asked as Blaine walked into the commons, face red.

"I fucked up. I really fucked up," Blaine said, collapsing in an armchair. "I never should have said that."

"What happened? I thought you were spending time with Kurt?" Jeff asked.

He sighed. "I was. It was going great, we were playing board games and it got competitive... And he won and threw a piece at me and was like 'suck it!' because he won and..."

"Oh my god, you said 'I would,' didn't you?" Thad asked.

He buried his face in his hands. "I said 'I'd certainly like to.'"

Thad burst out laughing. "That's perfect! What'd he say?"

"I didn't let him say anything! I ran!"

"Like, you physically ran out of the room?"

"Well, he was like 'what' and I made up some excuse and booked it." His phone started ringing, and he checked it, immediately throwing it away from him.

Without pause, Thad picked it up and answered it. "Blaine's phone, this is Thad."

"Really? He couldn't answer the phone? Okay—" there was a stifled laugh from the other side— "sorry, sorry, I just stopped laughing and decided to call, can— can you get him on the other end?"

"Why are you laughing?" Thad asked curiously.

"Because it's painfully obvious he likes me and I've been waiting for him to say something about it. I just never thought it'd be that entertaining."

"You knew?" Blaine looked incredibly anxious, unable to hear Kurt.

"He's not very subtle. Is he in the room?"

"Yeah."

"If he's scared to talk to me, can you tell him that I say to buy me dinner first and then we can talk about it?"

Thad stifled a laugh of his own. "Yeah, I can do that."

"Great, thanks."

"M'kay. Bye."

"Bye."

"Well?" Blaine asked as he hung up.

Thad grinned. "Kurt says to buy him dinner first and then you two can talk about it."

Blaine turned beet red as they all laughed.
