A few days had gone by, and Cartman still wasn't anywhere to be seen.  Even though Stan didn't like him, he was still worried sick for him.  Nobody else seemed to care though, just because he was a dick to them.  But since Stan was a pacifist, he always forgave when he was wronged. He tried talking with Cartman's mom, but she said he'd been out of town from the note he gave her.  He would frown at the fact that nobody was able to tell him where his friend was.  It was the weekend now, and the last time anybody in town had seen him was Tuesday afternoon.  Not even Kyle had seen him, and he thought that was even stranger because he was at Cartman's house on Tuesday, playing video games with him.  Nothing alarming enough had stuck out to him that Cartman would have been kidnapped or something, because he literally killed two grown adults when he was eight.  He thought he'd just wait it out and see if anybody saw him again.

Mrs. Marsh: Stan?  You should get up, it's the afternoon!

Stan: Okay, mom! I will!

Mrs. Marsh: Okay son, you know I worry about you.

He knew people worried about him, but they never cared enough to actually sit down with him and ask how he's doing mentally.  He felt that he'd be too much of an inconvenience asking someone for help, even though he knew he needed to talk to a therapist or something.  He decided to take his mind off of that and play Minecraft on his computer.  He saw that Butters was online and decided to join him.  After a couple hours or so, he logged off and texted Kyle to see how he was.  But, Kyle didn't reply to his text as fast as he usually does.

Stan: Huh, that's weird.  Maybe I can go to his house if he doesn't answer me.  Isn't that how normal friends check on each other?

Some time had gone by, and he hadn't recieved any new notifications from Kyle.  And of course, he was starting to get more worried.  He put his phone into his pocket and went downstairs.

Mrs. Marsh: Hello Stanley, what are you doing right now?

Stan: Kyle hasn't texted me back since yesterday, and he usually texts me back really fast.  I'm starting to think something might have happened.

Mrs. Marsh: Alright, you can go see how he is if you want.  Just make sure to come back soon.

Stan: Mom, it's Saturday.

Mrs. Marsh: Fine, you can spend the night there if he's home.  Just make sure to ask his parents first.

Stan: Alright.

Stan knew that since he lived across the street from Kyle, he'd be able to come back home to get his things.  So, he put his jacket and hat on, and walked outside towards his house.  He knocked on the door softly but loud enough for someone in the house to hear it.  Eventually, Ike opened the door and looked up at Stan.

Ike: What?

Stan: Sorry to be here so late, but is Kyle home?

Ike: Yeah, why?

Stan: Well I was just checking up on him.

Ike: That's something doctors say.  You're not a doctor.

Stan: I know, I just didn't know how else to explain what I'm doing here.  Can I come in?

Ike: Fine.

Ike opened the door more, allowing Stan to come into his house.

Stan: Where is Kyle?

Ike: He's in his room? Where else would he be?

Stan nodded and walked upstairs, and towards Kyle's room.  He gingerly knocked on the bedroom door and waited.

Kyle: What?

Stan: Sorry, I was just worried because you haven't texted me back in over a day!

Kyle: Well *sorry,* I was busy and forgot!

Stan: You forgot about your super best friend? Dude, that's kind of fucked up.

Kyle: I was working on a "biology project."

Stan: Oh, that's understandable.  Because you need to keep your grades up.

Kyle: Yeah.

Stan chuckled nervously.

Stan: I just thought either you were ignoring me, or that you were in some sort of danger.

Kyle: I understand.  So, you planning on going home soon?

Stan: Well I don't want to be keeping you from your project getting done..

Kyle: I mean, it's Saturday.. the project can wait.

Stan: I mean that's true.

Kyle: You wanna stay here tonight?

Stan: Sure.

Kyle let Stan into his room, and they both laughed.  Kyle didn't need to worry about Ike right now, his parents were in their bedroom.  Of course, Ike could go to them if he was scared or anything.  Kyle invited Stan to sit on his bed, and he grabbed the remote and turned his TV on.

Kyle: What do you want to watch?

Stan: It's your TV, you can put on whatever.

Kyle scrolled through the different platforms that they could watch a movie on.

Kyle: What's your favorite genre?

Stan: You don't remember..?

Kyle: My apologies.. I've been a bit tired lately.

Stan: By the way, I like comedies the best.

Kyle: Oh, that's right.  Since it's almost October, do you want to watch a scary movie?

Stan: Sure, I don't mind.

Kyle went onto Netflix and scrolled through the Horror category.  Since Stan didn't seem to mind, Kyle chose a random movie to play.  The movie started, and Stan looked over at Kyle.

Kyle: What?

Stan: Not to ruin this moment, but.. has Cartman texted you or anything since Tuesday?

Kyle: It's fine.  No, he hasn't.

Stan: Alright.

They went quiet and continued to watch the movie.
