It had been a long time since Cartman was last seen by anybody. His mother had given up and spent most of her days inside her house now, and pretty much cut contact with everybody she was in touch with. The guilt was too much for her to handle. The friend group wasn't even around each other anymore, Kyle and Kenny weren't even really friends at all, so they didn't see any reason to hang out since Cartman went missing. Stan was the only one who was pretty much keeping the group together by a thread. Butters were still around, but he was acting super skittish around Kyle and stopped being as social and lively as he used to be. Maybe something happened that cracked his innocent perception of life, but nobody cared enough to actually talk with him about it. The town was sort of dead now, and nobody was acting as energetic as they usually did.  He decided he'd just go under the stairs and take a nap.  But he was interrupted by another person sitting there already.

Stan: Hey, this is my spot-

The light exposed the person just enough for Stan to see who it was.

Stan: Kyle, what are you doing here..?

Kyle: I've observed that you enjoy coming here, so I thought maybe I'd join you.

Stan was still shocked by what Kyle did to him, but he still wanted to be his friend. He proceeded with caution.

Stan: Alright, I'd be happy to have you here with me.

Kyle had a feeling something was going to happen, and he'd feel like he will have to kill again, but he was starting to form a liking of the taste of human meat.  He was beginning to lose his sense of morality but kept pretending in order to preserve how other people saw him.  Ever since he killed Cartman, he felt sort of liberated in a way.  He knew what was right and what was wrong, yet it felt so good to commit treachery and crimes against the people who wronged him.  And he'd just keep throwing barbecues, knowing the people just thought Cartman was being an asshole like always by not coming into public.  He was craving flesh yet again, yearning for the smell of death to be released unto his nose.

Stan: So.. about the other night..

Kyle: I was on a substance.

Stan: Okay.. uh.. can we just pretend that never happened..?

Kyle: I had already forgotten until you reminded me just now.

Kyle was lying. He needed to keep Stan from finding out what actually happened. Stan was still clueless, but he still had a funny feeling in his gut.

Stan: Thanks, man. I really appreciate it..

Kyle: Of course.

Eventually Stan left, and Kyle was left alone.  The students and staff were already out of the building, and he knew what he had to do now.  He got up and went to find butters, preparing to act upset to draw him in.  He eventually saw Butters with Kenny, and he decided to wait until he could have him alone, which took a long time.  Kyle saw Stan approach Butters and Kenny, and decided not to strike just yet.

Stan: Hi guys.

Kenny: Look alive much?

Stan: I know I have eye bags, I didn't sleep well last night.

Butters: You should sleep more..

Stan: Enough about me!  I need to ask you guys some things.

Kenny: What is this, 50 questions?

Butters: Yeah!

Stan: First of all, fuck you Butters.  Second of all, it's about Kyle.

Butters tensed up having heard Kyle's name.  He remembered his encounter with Kyle, and that had stressed him out more.  At this point he'd rather face the punishments his father would give him.
