Kyle felt proud of himself for being able to get away with the murders he'd committed.  Kenny was on the other side of town now, walking quickly towards the forest's trails so that nobody would be able to find him as he walked.  His plan was to get to Denver, but he wasn't exactly sure where he'd go after he got there. He had his bags packed, and he had the money Stan had gave him at the Seven Eleven before he actually left town.  He was surprised he was able to make it this far without anyone stopping him or interfering with his trip by trying to talk to him.  But he then got a phone call from Stan.

Kenny: What do you want, Stan?

Stan: Are you sure you're actually going to leave?

Kenny: I'm already out of town, man.

Stan: Holy shit...

Kenny: What?

Stan: I just thought you'd change your mind or something, I don't know..

Kenny: Why are you trying to stop me?  I already told you, I don't have anything to live in South Park for.  I'll finally be able to be my own person and not a fucking weirdo.

Stan: You're even going to leave your family behind?

Kenny: They don't give two shits about me, I'm sure of it.  Dad's just always drunk off his ass now, and Mom left with Karen, and Kevin is living by the car shop now. It's my turn to start my own legacy.

Stan: Have you heard from anybody in a while?

Kenny: Nope. I've thought about taking Karen with me, but I changed my mind. She's safer with Mom because Mom got a new boyfriend and she lives with him. I heard he's pretty rich too.

Stan: Oh.

Kenny: If you're not coming, I've already told you that this is goodbye.

Stan: No matter how much I hate South Park, I need to stay here, for Wendy and Kyle.  I'm sorry, dude.  If I didn't have anything else here I'd definitely go with you.

Kenny: Oh well, if anything happens I'll just end up back there.

Stan: Alright, just stay alive man.

Kenny: Bye.

Stan: Bye.

Kenny hung up before Stan was able to tell him bye, but he didn't realize Kenny didn't hear him.  Now the only friend he had left was Kyle.  He always knew the group would break up one day, but he didn't realize it would be this quickly.   He knew Cartman and Kyle weren't friends, but he thought Kyle and Kenny got along better than that.  He looked at his phone feeling frustrated that everything was falling apart so quickly. He needed to find that killer and put a stop to everything.  Meanwhile, Kyle sat on the steps on his porch, staring at the overcast sky.  School was about to get out for Spring Break, and he felt content about how it had been months and nobody questioned him.  He did know he'd have to get back to acting like his old self so that he wouldn't be suspicious, but he also really liked who he had become through all of this.

Kyle: Damn, I'm hungry again.

He stood up and felt cash in his pocket, so he decided to walk to the gas station to get some snacks.  He bought a small cheese pizza and some Funyuns, with Redpop Faygo.  He walked out of the store, quickly eating a slice as he walked.  This meal was sort of a celebration for his crimes in a way to him.

Kyle: Holy shit, this pizza's really good.  Gas station food is usually shitty..

For a minute he thought he'd been dreaming, but eventually he snapped back to his new "normal" sense of self.  He sat back on the steps and continued watching the sky.  Stan texted Wendy and told him what had happened with Kenny.

Stan: Wendy Kenny left

Wendy: wdym??

Stan: he ran away

Wendy: why??

Stan: he said he wanted to start a new life bc of how everything is going down

Wendy: oh damn that sucks:(

Stan: ya but at least I still have you ily

Wendy: Yeah that's true ilyt 💗

He shut his phone off and laid down on the grass, looking at the fluorescent lights of the street and watching the moon rise from the horizon.
