A new life, that is who you are.
I feel like I have accomplished something, that not many think they can. Time has not come yet, for us to finally be given the opportunity for a first glance of each other, but that doesn't matter.
What matters is the fact that you are part of me and I, in you. Your existence has given me a sense of responsibility, to not only be your carer but the one to bring you into this world.
I feel a little jealous of the whole situation, you will no longer be in my tummy and soon, we will be staring each other eye to eye.
Mathew had once asked me something, that I can't help but to ask myself too. He asked whether you would like him and of course, I giggled, seeing the little frown play at his face. He looked cute and I couldn't help but tease him just a little, before giving him an answer.
Of course, I told him that both of you would adore each other. The proof was in your reaction, to his touch on my skin. Nothing felt better than watching the excitement, take over his face.
His excitement was that of a little boy and I was reminded once again, that we are still young. Life simply wanted us to grow faster.
Some time ago, even today, I asked myself that same question and it was as if you knew. You suddenly kicked and that was all the answer I needed.
You would like me, because I already liked you.
You are the beginning of many things in my life, you are the new life and can I tell you a little secret?
I like this new life.
