I was finally back with my uncle
I get up from my bed and walk over to him
"Did you know y/n is a fire bender." I say and he spits out his tea looking at me shocked
"Huh? Please Zuko repeat yourself." He says and I nod my head
"Princess Y/n is a fire bender when I went to save her she fire bent in front of me." I say and he still didn't seem to believe me
"The Earth Kingdom Princess? We talking about that Princess right? That Y/n? The Princess you crush on?" He says and I glare at him when he said Princess you crush on we're just friends that's all except well I wish we weren't and wish we were more, okay he's right but he doesn't have to say it
"Yes, her mother was from the fire nation." I say and uncle sighs as he had to process all of this I mean yeah it's a lot, but I needed to talk to him about it. Especially the whole reveal my true name stuff
"I see." Uncle says and he obviously noticed I had more to say "And what else? What next?" He asks scared to know more
"And I wanna tell her who I truly am." I say and uncle just stares at me blankly
"Zuko you can't, there is no way around you telling her and her not trusting you ever again or throwing you into prison, I know you don't wanna lie to her but unless you can be 100% sure she won't turn on you the moment you tell her, it is best you keep lying to her." Uncle says and I was hoping he'd say something like the truth is best and you should tell her truth something something wise old man stuff, but no it's lie to her face
But no it's lie to her face forever until I know she'll never turn her back on me
'I am going to hate lying to her face, but right now how we are it's easy it'll be easy as long as we stay just like this forever.'
