I look up at y/n as she was doing her hair for today
"Y/n question hypothetically of course." I ask and she smiles at me through the mirror
"Of course ask away Lee." She says and I sigh
"Say Lee wasn't my real name and I was someone else would you hate me? Say I escaped a country?" I say and she smiles
"Lee I don't care about your past I never have even if I already know and have since you stopped talking to me for a bit, so I got a background check done because, I wanted to know more about you and see why you'd avoid me." She says and I stop she already knew?
"Do you know who I am?" I ask and she nods and my heart started to beat faster I was scared I think my ears started to ring but I was too lost to even fully realize
"Of course I do, and do I care? No your here and your not a danger to my kingdom, your a criminal running from your own family, now would you like me to call you Lee or prince Zuko?" She asks and I was shocked she's known for weeks
"How did you— what?" I say so confused and shocked as she gets up and stands facing me
"Because I love you and I wanted to know more you never told me really so I decided to—" I cut her off as I push her against the wall as I kiss her and she kisses me back wrapping her arms around my neck
"I love you too." I say into the kiss and I could feel her lips curl into a smile so happy I said it back to her 'So I over thought all of this for so long, and she already knew who I truly was? And she still came and visited me at the tea shop, I guess uncle was wrong I could trust her.'
