Simba x reader 💌

Chapter 4

After last night you just couldn't stop thinking about simba. You sighed, as you fiddled with your paws.

Zari walked toward some you. "Hey y/n!" "We need to go hunt!" She said. You gasped "Right..! I was on my way already." You said nervously, how could you forget!? It was time to hunt and you slacked of instead of going to find your hunting group. "We are waiting on you cmon." Zari said as she ran towards the huntresses. You trailed behind.

"It's about time, y/n!" Sarabi said, "it's alright it's your first day" she said smiling

 "phew" You accidentally said aloud, you quickly smile in embarrassment. 

............

"Alright so in my group we have: Zari, Y/N, Mali, Tama, Api, and Koi?" Sarabi said checking for everyone's attendance. Everyone nodded. "Alright then we should get a move on." 

"We'll be going north and sarafinas group will go south." Sarabi clarified. 

And so, your group went north in search of something to bring back for the pride.

The group eventually found a  wildebeest and her calf, there was no herd in sight so everyone took their positions some lionesses went to the opposite side to block escape routes, and some (including you) hid in the tall grass for the perfect opportunity to pounce. After about 30 seconds you and the two other runners decided to chase after the wildebeest, you ran aiming for the calf as it would be less of a struggle, but then, you saw some unwelcoming faces; hyenas. 

They starting laughing hysterically, it was a peculiar thing, want mangy creatures  you thought. "Step away from the wildebeest!" One snarled, another's added "we saw it first." 

But at this point the wildebeest and her calf were long gone, they got lucky as they managed to slip away from the two opposing sides.

Koi, a dark tan lioness snarled "Scram!" A few others roared at them. Unfortunately they weren't in a very negotiable mood, (but then again they never seem to be) 

One darted towards you. Perhaps because you were a bit smaller than the other lionesses and they thought you wouldn't be a struggle.

There were about 8 hyenas (and 7 lionesses) they all ran in different directions at different lionesses to attack. The hyena who ran towards you began to draw blood from your shoulder, you immediately kicked her off, you barely missed what would be a powerful blow from the hyena as she missed her pounce towards you. You locked her throat in your jaws, she began trying to escape, until you crushed her windpipe, she fell limp. The other lionesses were doing a good job at killing them off, or injuring them. 2 had managed to run away, they looked to be in terrible condition, the were limping and had a ton of wounds, you couldn't help but smile that'll teach them  you thought. 

............

Unfortunately your group didn't retrieve anything, but luckily there were no deaths and no severe injuries (other than yours, you had a minor limp in your front left leg and Rafiki said you were excused from your hunting duties for a few days as it healed)
