As you walked along the dry grass, you thought; "is Nala really as bad as I made her out to be? Perhaps it was a mistake, or I took it the wrong way" you thought, as you continued walking your pelt brushed against another lion's, you turned to see it was the king, "oh simba! I didn't even see you, hello" you said greeting him.

Unfortunately he didn't seem to hear you as he kept walking, he seemed to be in a hurry, "oh" you said aloud, you continued walking to the waterhole.

It was probably a mistake, you had thought, as you reached the waterhole you were surprised, "wow there's never this many animals at the waterhole! Perhaps since it rained a few days ago."  You thought.

There were, zebra, wildebeest, three elephants, a few giraffes, and some hippos! There was also a young leopard silently watching all the animals from a big acacia tree.

As you walked, closer, and closer, towards the waterhole, many of the animals stared at you, a few backed away, well all except the elephants, who knew a single lioness could never dare to try and attack one of them, as you went to take a drink you noticed, Zari, talking to her sister, Cairo, you walked over to them.

"Hello!" You said greeting them, "Oh, y/n hello" Cairo said. Zari went to take a drink, "so why is there so many... animals here? You asked. "Apparently all the other waterholes near here have dried up" she replied, "but it just rained!" You said exasperated, "well drought season is at its peak," she said, "right, that's just.. crazy to me" you said— still a bit shocked that the water had gone down in just mere days.

The leopard jumped down from her perch, and it caused most of the animals to scatter, she seemed to be fixated on a young, wildebeest, the three lionesses watched as she chased the herd, and watched the wildebeest scatter as well.

"Hey well at least we can drink without any others animals around us," Zari said smiling

"Yep." you responded, but you were still a bit confused.

Why did simba run off so frantically?

You sighed, hoping you two could talk later that evening, as you used to do before, nala had came.

Because now,

It seemed like they were real close.

You sighed as you watched the scorching sun begin to reach the middle of the sky.
