You yawned, and looked outside your den, it was dark out— as the sun had just set, the only sounds were a few crickets chirping outside. Finally sleep overtook you and you drifted off into a deep slumber.
The morning arrived, the lionesses left- to hunt, you stayed in your den as Rafiki ordered you to.
Moments later, simba walked in, "woah what happened to you?" He said "hyenas" you said, "but it's alright just a few days of rest and I should be good"
"That's good" He said sincerely, he laid down near you and put his tail on your back, you nuzzled against his shoulder, then he nuzzled you back.
"How did you survive as a rouge?" Simba asked curiously as he put his paw on yours. "Well.." you said, "me and my friend, Asha stuck together but.. two hyenas killed her.." "they were attacking the two of us and she bravely told me to run away and she'd try and fight them. I ran..". "I feel so bad, I should've stayed instead of running like a coward" you said. "Anyways I turned around, and I saw her dead, with those atrocious hyenas standing right next to her laughing hysterically."
"I'm so sorry" simba said emphatically, we all hate hyenas they are so awful, simba said. "I couldn't agree more" You said.
Simba closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, you dozed off as well.
............
You woke up, simba licked your check softly, you blushed, "I should go" simba said, "alright" you said, a bit bummed he had to leave but you understood he had duties.
............
Zari walked into the den with a zebra leg, "here you go, are you feeling better?" She said "yes, thank you I'm quite hungry" you replied, "no problem" she smiled. Should I tell her about simba? I think he does like me, he licked me! And I think I like him back..! You thought. After your meal you licked your paws clean. "Something on your mind?" Zari asked. "No-no! I'm just, uh tired.. why?" You said, "you haven't spoke a single word, just wondering." And with that she left.
I wonder if it's that obvious you thought.
You decided to take another nap, so you did.
