Now back in the sky, the probe was ordered by Komand'r to scan for an ideal target that was full of slime or sludge to create a monster with the Plasmus Serum. The time had come for Koriand'r to meet her destined execution.

After a thorough scan, the probe found a place full of slime in its interior. It was a building called Slade Industries. To make matters more convenient, it was not far from where Koriand'r was. The time had come to finish this.

Under stealth mode, the probe entered the building and took on the hologram of one of the employees. Now it could bypass security without raising suspicion.

Taking a detour passed an office marked WILSON SLADE, Komand'r heard voices talking. Curious, Komand'r ordered the probe to remain stationary temporarily.

"It's just a matter of time, Wilson," one voice was saying. "Any moment, Mr. Payton will call us with the information on that alien girl. Then, once we know who is helping her, we can prepare to capture the girl and use her power to make the War Suits operational."

"I certainly hope so, Lex," said a voice that must've belonged to Wilson. "I'm looking forward to this coming to an end, but we'll all be happy in the end. You'll finally become President of the United States, and I'll finally put Wayne Enterprises out of business for good."

"Well," Komand'r said to herself, "it seems I'm not the only one after my sister."

The vile Tamaranian had to ponder their words. Whoever these two men were, they were plotting a conspiracy for control of their planet, and they apparently thought Koriand'r was the key to making their plans become reality.

Whatever these War Suits were, they had to be lacking a sufficient power source. Komand'r could see why these men wanted her sister so badly. If her power was compatible with the War Suits, there would be no telling what destruction they would be capable of.

This intrigued Komand'r. If she could get her hands on these War Suits and deliver them to the Citadel, entire worlds would easily fall. But her sister's death had to come first.

Making its way closer to the area where the sludge was located, the probe entered the room where dozens of workers were so intent on performing their tasks that few noticed the newcomer enter their vicinity. This would work for Komand'r very well.

The probe made its way down a walkway over a vat of sludge, the vial of Plasmus Serum in it's hand. Making sure no one was presently watching, the probe opened the vial. Without hesitation, the serum was dropped into the vat.

Komand'r didn't have the probe wait to see if the serum had worked. As it got to the door, people were already screaming and running in terror. Soon the creature would break out of the building, and then it would lay waste to the pathetic city.

Starfire and Jennifer had just finished their food and were ready to leave and go home. Starfire had been all set to tell Jennifer everything, but that she had eaten, she was afraid she would vomit if they talked about her past now.

Starfire wasn't even sure who had had the worst experience with loss: Jennifer, or herself? Although she had been a slave for six years, Starfire had briefly gotten to hold her mother. As for Jennifer, she hadn't found out about her sister's death until after the police had come to her father's house.

Just as they were getting out of their seats, the TV suddenly changed from a ballet group to a man behind a desk. "We interrupt this program to bring you this alarming turn of events. An explosion has just gone off at Slade Industries, and now a strange creature is making its way into the south side of the city. Anyone in that area is advised to take shelter in the basements of any building they can reach."
