ˑ ˚ Chapter 1 - First Meeting ˚ ˑ

TSUKASA POV

・・・・・・

I ran through the forest, trying to keep up with Toya and Saki. Saki finally had free time to spend with me, so we both gladly invited Toya with us again. "Saki, Toya! You're so fast!" I called as I stopped in my tracks, trying to catch my breath. 

They kept on running, going in separate ways. We were playing tag just to remember our childhood and relive memories, it was really fun so far. I was it so I was meant to chase after Toya and Saki.

"Hurry up, Tsukasa!" Saki turned around and waved her hands, just to mock me to run faster. I laughed a bit. She turned back around and began running again.

Toya was nowhere in sight, it seemed that he had already ran off somewhere.

We were in the middle of the forest, wearing ordinary clothes, just so we could blend in with the townsfolk and seem like normal teenagers. Toya obviously didn't need to pretend though.

I should probably start running again, I- I was thinking to myself as I stood there in silence, but my thoughts were cut off with the sound of yelling.

"He's over there!" I heard a man yell out. Before I could even react, I was grabbed by my arm and I was dragged behind a tree. Whoever brought me there pinned me up against the tree so I couldn't move.

I looked at the person. It was a guy, with purple messy hair and 2 teal streaks. We're so close.. Those were the only thoughts I managed to think before that guy started talking.

"I think they're gone.." He looked down at me, he was panting. Was he.. running from something?

"W-what's going on?" I breathed loudly as I brought his arm away, so he could stop pinning me against the tree.

"Some guards were chasing after us.. or, should I say me? You didn't do anything for them to be running after you." He chuckled a bit. His laugh is so cute.. I could feel myself turning red but I instantly snapped out of it.

"Why were they chasing you?" I titled my head in confusion and I crossed my arms.

This guy looks like a normal teenager, just like me, he's wearing normal clothes, so he must be from the kingdom, right?  I thought as I waited for his answer.

"I, uh, did something.." He scratched his neck as he started to speak again, "I stole something.." He nervously chuckled.

My eyes widened, "S-stole?! Are you insane?! You can't just steal something from the Royal Kingdom!" I glared at him. Usually, I'd be way more angry if some random guy told me they stole from, well, MY SOON TO BE kingdom, but for some reason, I was barely angry at this guy, just shocked.

"Can I tell you something? A little secret, just between you and me?" He put his index finger up to his lips and he winked. He took his finger down and he swayed his hands down by his sides. "I'm apart of that Dark Side group."

My jaw dropped, and I was even more surprised, which I didn't even think was possible.

I took a step back, but I instantly just hit my back onto the tree, I forgot I was kind of cornered here. "D-don't hurt me!" I stammered, clenching my fists so he knew to leave me alone.

He pulled out a small, purple, glowing tringle and held it right above his hand. It was floating.. I then remembered something, these are the same exact things that the Guards give us when we're going out, that's how I'm wearing these normal clothes right now. He then threw it up in the air and he suddenly transformed into his proper villain attire.

"You're.." "Rui? Yep, I know! I'm just so popular!" Rui smirked at me just before I started to feel dizzy. I grabbed my head in a attempt to stop it from throbbing.

"W-why am I so dizzy..?" I then fainted right into Rui's arms and he caught me.

RUI POV

I lifted up the boy's head and I glare at him. He's really pretty.. I was starting to get lost looking at his gorgeous face.

I hadn't even asked him his name yet, maybe I should of.

Ena and Mafuyu appeared next to me. Ena was clapping while Mafuyu kept her normal dark and mysterious face.

"Good job, Rui! First time for you to actually do something!" Ena continued clapping as she sarcastically cheered for me.

"Oh, shut it, Ena. I do more work then you." She stopped clapping and she crossed her arms. "Whatever, Rui, at least I have a girlfriend." Ena looked at me, smiling.

"I'm not into girls, idiot." I said, there being a lot of boredom in my tone.

"Exactly!" Ena put her hands onto her hips and she showed a happy look, even though she was just being sarcastic about everything.

"Anyways, good job, Rui, now, let's take him to our den. We don't want him to wake up and run off, do we now?" Mafuyu finally spoke up. Ena and I both shook our heads as she finished speaking.

"Rui, me and Ena will be heading off to our place. Meet us there, since you have the boy." Mafuyu looked over at Ena. "Oh, uh, right! See you, Rui!" and, just like that, Mafuyu and Ena disappeared.

I looked back down at the boy and I then also disappeared, and I headed to our den.

I was talking with Ena until Mafuyu spoke, breaking Ena and I's conversation. "Is the stupid boy awake yet? I have some news about him." Mafuyu looked at the boy and frowned, before looking back over to us.

Ena and I both shook our heads to inform Mafuyu that he wasn't awake.

Mafuyu sighed before speaking again. "He's the prince, also the soon to be king of Royal Kingdom."
