Halo

I was right, i got into trouble from one side at least. Grace chewed my ass out, she made sure to stress the importance that i was supposed to wait till i had officially become part of the clan to mate. After her lecture she did give me a small congratulations, before ushering us all to bed. The next morning, i ate what she put infront of me before linking up to my avatar.

When i woke up in my avatar body, Kal'el looked like he had just woken up, just staring off into space while playing with my hair. "My love? You ok, you seem a little distant." I said, sitting up. He looked a little startled when I started talking, but his expression soon changed, the fear leaving his face. "I am alright, I just can't believe that 3 months ago i wanted to kill you... and now you are my mate." He replied, watching me stand up and look around a bit. "Well believe it, im yours my love. Forever, i am yours." I said, crouching down to give him a little kiss.

"Now get up, today is a big day." I said, starting my spirt down Hometree with him hot on my tail. We made it down where Sa'tari was waiting a group of juvenile's, these kids looked like hardened hunters. To get to the Ikran, you have to go to where the Ikran are, deep into the Hallelujah mountain's was a herd of Ikran that were a pain in the ass to get to. First we rode on the backs of Pa'li up the mountain, before dismounting, and then relying on grip strength and not looking down.

Sa'tari waited for the rock we were on to shift into a certain position before jumping and grabbing onto one of the veins and climbing up. The rest of us followed, i held on for dear life trying not to fall. When we got to the top, we sat behind this waterfall with Sa'tari looking at the lot of us for a moment. "Halo shall go first." He said, gesturing over to me. I nodded, taking a second to gain my compsure before walking to the opening between the rock and the waterfall. Ka'el followed and gave me the little instruction i needed. "You only have one chance, when you find your Ikran you will know, in here." He said, resting his hand on top of my chest.

"How will i know if it chooses me?" I asked, looking back at him. "She will try to kill you," He replied as if it was common knowledge. Fan-fucking-tastic, alright nothing to be scared of just go out there, pick an Ikran, hope she doesn't kill you in doing so... seems simple enough. Holding the rope thing in my hands i walked out, and looked out at the Ikrans looking at me then flying away. It sure as shit didn't take long for one of them to stand their ground and start growling at me.

The Ikran was beautiful dark blue with faded to light blue with the wings, black stripes covering her body, and these pink accents all over her.

She continued to buck up to me, before lunging to try to bite my face off. I leaped out of the way, grabbing onto one of tail/antenna things and used it to ground myself and get her neck between my legs. I wrapped the rope around her mouth, and with her flailing around much as she was, I grabbed onto the antenna again and made Tsaheylu. She seemed to calm down so i was able to get the top off of her snout. "The first flight seals the bond, you can not wait... think Fly!"  Kal'el said, doing a bird call to get onto his Ikran. "Fly!" I yelled, the Ikran taking off.

It much like my first lesson with the Pa'li, i was startled at first and held on for dear life before i finally got the hang of it. She straightened out, and i chuckled thinking in my head the directions to give her. Kal'el soon flew up next to me, a smile incredibly wide on his face. I laughed, a flew up and over him his face passing by mine while doing so. I had already come up with a name for her, Maeve. When we landed, Kal'el wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. It surprised me a little but i kissed back.

"You did wonderfully darling! Im so proud of you!" He bounded, hugging me tightly. I enjoyed the hug, it was different from the hugs i would get from Na'li who i now considered a mother. This hug was filled with a very different type of love and compassion, but still made me feel safe. After the hug, we sat down and sat in silence for a little bit. "When Jakesully has passed his test, you two will be welcomed into the clan as one of our own." He said, i knew little about the ceremony but i knew this. I learned from Na'li that they say that a person is born twice, the first when they're first born, and second when they are welcomed into the clan as an adult.

I knew that they weren't gonna leave Hometree, they were gonna fight for their home... and Jake and I were gonna fight for them. How did i know Jake was gonna fight for Hometree? Because i know that him and Neytiri have thing going on, and he was gonna get his ass kicked for it when him and Neytiri become a mated pair. "Ma Halo..." He said, turning my head to get me to look at him. "I see you," He said, those three words made my heart just stop. Though that is a form of greeting it can also be a sign of a respect and one of the highest you can receive amongst the people.

I looked back at him, and with a very gentle smile on my face said, "I see you." Kal'el smiled and pulled me closer to him. "When i was little, i used to go to my brother where ever he was in the house and get as close as i could to him, and wrap my arms around him. I used to tell him that i was hiding from the heavens, it was a comfort thing i did when i was scared or upset. When he died, one of the last things he wanted me to do was hide from the heavens with him." I ranted, looking at the side of Kal'el head before turning to look at the forest in front of us.

"What do you do now when you're scared or upset?" He asked, as he knew that my brother had died years ago. "Do anything to distract myself. I could read, journal, draw, watch whatever i could on TV, or file my taxes months before they were meant to... i got really good at doing that, i was always on point with my tax returns." I replied, in English since most of the words i used in that sentence weren't available in a Na'vi translation. Kal'el looked at me confused, of which got a chuckle out of me. "Would you like me to explain?" I asked, he nodded almost immediately.

(A few hours later)

When i came out of link, I realized that everything had between reversed. I man like, here in this body my human body it was just a dream, meanwhile out there in my Avatar body was the real world. It was so confusing to me, yet not at the same time. I knew that i would never be able to go back to earth with a clear conscious and be content. I think its a little to late for that, since i have mated with somebody. I was perfectly fine with that, i loved it here. Pandora was my home, and i was not leaving any time soon.
