The long-awaited U.A. Sports Festival was finally here, and the air was thick with anticipation. In the waiting room, the atmosphere was a mix of excitement and nervous energy.
Ashido: "Ugh, seriously? No hero outfits? What's even the point of this if we can't look cool while doing it?"
Ray sat in the corner, nonchalantly fiddling with his bandages. Meanwhile, Kaminari and Tsuyu had finally rejoined the class. Tsuyu looked like her usual self, but Kaminari...well, he looked like he'd been dragged behind a four wheeler.
Ray: "You look like someone tried to microwave a marshmallow and gave up halfway."
Kaminari: "Gee, thanks for the boost in confidence, Ray."
When it was time, the students gathered in the stadium's oval, stepping into a massive arena filled with cheering crowds and a sea of pro heroes. Every first-year class was there, all wearing their standard gym uniforms. The sight was both intimidating and exhilarating.

Ray, however, was less focused on the grandeur of the event and more on the figure holding the microphone in the center of the stadium.
Ray: "Oh, come on..."
It was Midnight, and she was clearly in her element, striking a dramatic pose as she welcomed everyone to the Sports Festival.

Midnight: "Welcome, students, heroes, and fans! Today, we celebrate the future of heroism!"
The crowd erupted into applause, but Ray looked like he wanted to sink into the ground.
Ashido: "Hey, isn't that your mom, Ray?"
Ray: "No, it's just someone who looks, sounds, and acts exactly like her. Total coincidence."
Ray's embarrassment only worsened when he heard whispers from the crowd, with some people making less-than-appropriate remarks about Midnight's appearance.
Random Guy: "Man, she's so hot. Imagine being married to her."
Ray: "Keep talking, and you won't have a mind to imagine with."
