He let out a heavy sigh, turning to his son, Ray, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor with his shadowy cat, BlackBerri, perched lazily on his shoulder, reading a book.

Johnathan: "Alright, kid. Suit up. We're going to a fancy hero party tonight."
Ray raised an eyebrow, leaning back against the wall as he absentmindedly scratched Chew behind the ears.
Ray: [Monotoned] "Those places where you interact with people socially? Yeah, Pass."
Johnathan rolled his eyes, grabbing a suit from the hanger and tossing it toward Ray.
Johnathan: "You're coming, like it or not. Nemy wanted to go, and there's no way I'm suffering through this alone. So, you're coming with me to keep me."
Ray caught the suit, holding it up with a mix of disdain and amusement.
Ray: "Lovely. Fine, but only if I can bring BB."
Johnathan glanced at the shadowy cat, who was currently grooming itself with an air of dignity that didn't match its origins.

For some inexplicable reason, BlackBerri was the picture of perfect manners, a trait that baffled everyone who knew Ray.
Johnathan: "Ugh, Fine. Just make sure it behaves."
Ray grinned, standing up and heading toward the bathroom to change. A short while later, the two emerged, both dressed to the nines in sleek black suits.
When they stepped outside, Nemuri was waiting for them in a stunning evening gown that shimmered under the streetlights.
