The air in the arena was thick with anticipation as Ray and Midoriya stood opposite each other. The crowd's cheers and murmurs echoed in the background, but neither combatant paid any attention. Midoriya's sharp, determined gaze met Ray's indifferent stare.

Ray let out a tired sigh, scratching the back of his head. His messy hair fell into his black sclera, the striking yellow irises barely showing any interest.

Ray: "Y'know, Midoriya, I didn't really feel like doing this today. But hey, here we are, so...good luck or whatever."

Midoriya: "I won't lose, Ray. No matter how much you underestimate me, I'll keep going!"

Ray raised an eyebrow, his monotone voice dripping with sarcasm.

Ray: "Wow, inspiring. Truly. Can we get on with it?"

The buzzer signaled the start of the match. Ray lazily stretched out his hand, and the shadows beneath him churned unnaturally. An enormous armored creature began forming, a hulking beast with three drills on each arm, encased in heavy black metal made entirely of shadows.

Ray: "Here's my contribution. Have fun with him."

Midoriya's eyes narrowed as the Ink Soldier lunged at him, drills spinning violently. He sidestepped the attack and countered with a flick of his fingers, unleashing a shockwave of wind that sent the creature staggering. The force broke his finger, and he winced in pain, clutching his hand.

Midoriya: "I can't afford to hold back. If I don't take that thing out, I'll lose!"

The Ink Soldier roared, charging again. Midoriya leaped into the air, delivering another air blast with his other hand. The creature's metal armor buckled under the impact before it crumbled into shards of dissipating shadows.

The audience erupted into cheers, but Ray didn't seem fazed. He yawned dramatically, watching the spectacle with half-lidded eyes.

Ray: "Huh. That didn't last long.......Oh well."

Before Midoriya could fully catch his breath, the shadows beneath him surged. In an instant, Ray materialized behind him, his claws extended. He grabbed Midoriya by the collar and flung him toward the edge of the arena. Midoriya hit the ground hard, skidding across the dirt.

Midoriya: "No! I'm not losing that easily!"

He planted his feet firmly, stopping just short of the boundary. The crowd gasped as he pulled himself back into the fight. Ray's gaze flicked toward the edge, his expression unchanging.

Ray: "Still here? You're more stubborn than I thought."

Midoriya: "I'll keep fighting. No matter how many tricks you throw at me!"

Ray's apathy wavered for a brief moment as a faint smirk tugged at his lips.

Ray: "Alright, Green Bean. Let's make this a little more interesting."
