A couple days pass. I couldn't seem to get ahold of Toya or any of the others... I began to grow desperate, admittedly turning to the letter Toya's dad handed me. The event is supposedly going to happen tonight... While I have no interest in going to celebrate scamming people or something like that.. But given Toya's father's general lack of empathy, there is a possibility that Toya would be this himself. My parents still haven't talked to me throughout this whole thing... But I should probably ask them before I go, so I can get Ena off my back... Who'd never let me go. I carefully pick the lock on my door, I think I've gotten better at it over the past few days. By better I mean faster and smoother.

I walked down the stairs, careful not to make any noise. Indiscreetly making my way over to my parents door. Finally, I gathered the courage to knock on their door, that felt like it was looming over me. My dad answered the door, except he looked different... He looked drunk. I thought he quit years ago.. "How dare you... Hic..Wake us up.."He muttered almost whispering sighing. Then he did the unthinkable, he hit me. With a slimy of his fist, I fell, my back to the floor. The punch itself didn't hurt, but my already bruised back that had been healing didn't appreciate the fall. I was still out of shock. I mean... He was clearly out of his mind, he'd never do something like this sober..

Ena ran down the stairs. "Akito..!" She yelped. She wrapped her arms around me, as dad would never dare to hit a woman. "Why!? You knew what was going to happen..!" She cried as she buried her head into my chest. "Shut up You're so loud..." Dad slammed the door, shaking the whole house. I couldn't help but stare in shock at the door. I couldn't physically move. I couldn't believe he would ever do something like that..

"I.." My lips could barely part. Still we sat, her crying on my chest, and my body still couldn't move. My legs began to numb at the lack of movement.

...

After who knows how long, I could finally gather the energy to slowly pat her back. "Ena... I am going to a party tonight.. I promise I'll be back," She tightened her grip. "Please don't leave..! Don't leave me again..! I need you..!" She pleaded. I looked at her sincerely. "Please, just trust me.." I was near tears myself. I had to figure out what was happening.. I just had a hunch that this party was going to bring me closer to the truth.. And maybe closer to Toya as well... Anything to get my mind off of this..

I gave Ena one last hug before standing up. My legs were still asleep, so I wiggled them awake. I went to the door and walked out into the empty world. Still grappling with my own emotions, I silently made my way to Toya's place for the event. "...Water..?" It seemed even the sky felt bad for me, as rain started pouring down. I walked as if it wasn't there, choosing to ignore it.
