Ghost BC - Trans Papas

III - Terzo's coming out

Terzo was sitting with the Ghoulettes in the library. They held regular book clubs here where they'd basically just exchange gossip and decided to invite the Papa to join them since he had nothing to do this afternoon.
"Look at her hair", Cumulus said, pointing at a woman with long, dark hair in a magazine.
All the girls and Terzo hovered over the page, making big eyes.
"She's really got pretty hair, so full and long", Terzo thought to himself, envy slowly growing inside him.
Her legs looked so smooth, her hips so wide and feminine, why couldn't he look like this? He let out a deep sigh, he knew the way he's felt for a while now, that he does not feel like a man but that he was actually a woman. It's been months now and he had thought about coming out to everyone but he didn't know how.
"I wonder if that would look good on me too", he mumbled to himself and realised he'd actually spoken it out loud when everyone was staring at him with huge eyes.
"You- you want long hair?", Cirrus asked.
"I always thought you're more of a short hair type of guy", she then added.
Terzo felt his heart race, maybe this was the right moment?
"Well", he then began, moving uncomfortably in his seat.
"Guys, can I trust you with a secret?", he then asked carefully and looked at them seriously. They nodded, excited and understanding at the same time.
"Sure"
"We won't tell a soul", they'd assure and Terzo took all the courage he had.
"It's not that I'm a long hair type of guy, I'm just simply not a guy. I- I think I might.. no, I'm sure that I am trans, I'm a woman", he spoke, his words all shooting out at once. Once he was done, he quickly shut his mouth and stared at the floor, afraid of their reactions. He now realised how much his knees were trembling and hands sweating, this was a very unusual thing to reveal and the Ghoulettes may not take it well. But as he sat there with his thoughts circling around fear, he suddenly felt various arms wrap around him warmly, pulling him to all directions.
"Thank you for telling us", Sunshine spoke and patted his back.
"This is so wonderful, we have another girl among us", Aurora added and Terzo felt her heart go warm when being counted to the other women.
"Thank you guys for accepting me", she sniffled.
"Well of course! And now tell us", Cirrus began and slowly the Ghoulettes loosened their hug to get seated again.
"D'you have a new name? If not we could help you find a good one!"
"I'm not sure yet but I believe Terza is a good one", Terza chuckled.
"Awesome! And your pronouns?"
"She/her", she said and had a strange but good feeling saying it out loud. This was more acceptance than she had expected and she couldn't have been any happier with it.
"I'm so thankful for you guys"
"Please, this is the least we can do", Aurora waved it off.
"So are we the only ones to know?"
"Yes but I've been planning on telling my brothers soon. And of course Omega, we can't date without him knowing"
"Yes but don't feel forced to tell them, you take the time you need", the Ghoulettes reassured her.
"You're right but I believe I feel ready now"
"In that case", Cumulus began and started grabbing for something underneath the little table they were gathering around. Suddenly, she pulled out a huge pile of magazines.
"Let's start finding a hairstyle for you, Terza. Your hair will take its time to grow so you can choose a new hairstyle and still remain closeted at the same time".
Terza almost teared up finding herself in front of another big step to transitioning, she was so excited to step further.
"Let's see", Sunshine grabbed the first one and the following hours were spent either ranting about ugly hairstyles or pointing wildly at really pretty ones. At the end of the day, Terza felt as safe as she's never felt and looking forward to her upcoming journey.
