"This is Berk", Hiccup said, "Its twelve days north of hopeless and a few degrees south of freezing to death".

You sighed knowing he was going to have to finish his little speech that he decided to start but you kept handing out weapons from inside Gobber's workshop to the Vikings who actually got to have a little fun unliked some people *cough cough* you.

"Its located solidly on the meridian of misery. My village, in a word, sturdy. Its been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes, we have....dragons. Most people would leave, not us. We're Vikings, we have stubbornness issues".

"Thank fuck for that", you celebrated, turning around to face Hiccup as Gobber took over giving the weapons out.

"What!?", Hiccup asked in an offended tone, looking back at you.

"Your little speech thing, or whatever the hell that was, its over", you stated as you grabbed scraps of metal off the ground and put them on bench to prevent anyone tripping over.

"I didn't think it was that bad", Gobber chimed in, still handing out the weapons.

"Of course you didn't", you said under your breath, putting your head down.

"Okay, thank you, at least someone appreciates me", Hiccup said throwing his arms around as he speaks because that just what he does, he's bound to hit someone in the eye one day.

"Yeah okay, whatever", you sighed again.

"You just don't know what do to with, all this", Hiccup said as he started to help with the weapons.

"I could use you as bait", you said continuing to clean up.

"No they won't want to eat him, he's not got enough meat on his bones", Gobber added, "you'd be better bait, your a lot meatier than him".

"Thank you, Gobber", you laughed slightly.

You saw Hiccup look outside the window as all the other kids were out helping. Fishlegs, Snotlout, the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut and Astrid. He's always liked Astrid, Astrid has always hated him. You and Astrid were best of friends. Snotlout was always swooning over her and when she wasn't around he was swooning over you.

He was looking out the window a little too far as Gobber pulled him back in.

"Oh come on. Let me out, please. I need to make my mark", Hiccup sighed to Gobber as he was being held in mid air by Gobber's replacement for a hand.

"Oh you've made plenty of marks, all in the wrong places", Gobber said, putting him down. You nodded in agreement.

"Please two minutes. I'll kill a dragon", Hiccup tried to convince Gobber to let him go out. "My life will get infinitely better. I might even get a date".

"With who, Astrid? In your dreams", you said quietly but just loud enough for him to hear, which resulted in him giving you a look.

"You can't lift a hammer. You can't swing an axe. You can't even throw one of these", Gobber said, counting on his fingers.

"Okay, fine, but this will throw it for me", Hiccup said reveling some wooden contraption.

"Oh no", you said once you watched it hit someone in the head.

"See? Now this right here is what I'm talking about!", Gobber said pointing at him.

"Mild calibration issue-", Hiccup tried to explain himself.
