Word Count:

You woke up the next morning in a pool of sweat.

"Holy shit." You said as you got up. You went down stairs and your father's face filled with concern.

"Y/N, you look like you just ran around for five hours." He said with a worried tone. "I don't understand it's so cold outside. Wait, go sit out the front and get some fresh air." He suggested. At this point you hoped anything would help.

You sat on the wood porch for a decent 20 minuets and realised nothing happened, you were still sweating your ass off. D/N came outside and sniffed you worriedly. He gave a confused look and backed away.

"What? I'm sure if I'm sick, you won't get sick either." You said with a frown. He just growled and ran off into town. "Yeah, okay. He'll be fine." You sighed. You used your hand to help push yourself off the floor but it felt weird. Once you fully got up, you looked down and saw a hand print burned into the porch. "What in the- Dad!?" You yelled for him inside.

"Yeah?" He said as he opened the front door.

"Has that always been there?" You asked, pointing to the hand print.

"No....That looks like a fresh burn. What's going on?" He asked with concern.

"I don't know-." You suddenly remembered what Valka said to you thar day six months ago, you brushed it off again as some coincidence. You remembered how excited you felt when she told you, thinking you were gonna get these cool abilities but now you feel worried. "Shit."

"What is it?" He moved closer but you quickly backed away and put your hands behind your back. Turns out you backed into the small wooden pole that held up the roof above the porch. You heard the fire begin behind you.

You jumped forward and saw the pole, that was now in flames.

"Y/N!" You father exclaimed. You couldn't say anything you just stood there. You felt the floor beneath you start to tingle. Your feet were burning through the floor.

"Fuck!" You yelled. You jumped up and quickly ran onto the grass. You heard the grass start to burn beneath your feet, you knew stomping on it wouldn't help so you kept moving backwards to stop the heat from focusing in one spot. You thought you could keep doing this until it stopped but it definitely didn't, cause you backed in a tree. And yes, you lit it on fire.

"No!" You yelled again. It seemed you were only getting hotter. You weren't sure what to do. Then you thought if you jumped into some form of water you'd be fine. You felt like you needed to submerge your entire body and the closest available body of water was the ocean. So you began to run through town as quick as possible.

*Hiccup's POV*

I'm just woken up as I hear a loud bang on the front door. I go downstairs to see who it was but Valka go to it first. To my surprise it wasn't a person, it was D/N. He tried to pull Valka outside, it seemed urgent.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong?" I asked him. He sounded distressed. He was screeching and waving his head around.

"Okay, okay. What do you need?" Valka asked. D/N responded by going outside further and using his head to tell us to follow him.

"Follow you?" I asked. He nodded. I looked to Valka worried. "Let's go, let me just grab my stuff." I was about to turn around to grab something but D/N screeched at me. "Okay, never mind, let's just go."

Valka and I just walked out of the house as we saw Y/N sprint past and D/N run after her.

"Valka!" Y/N's father yelled. "You need to see this!"

"Hiccup, you follow D/N." Valka told me.

*Your POV*

You ran past Hiccup, Valka and D/N, but you didn't pay much attention. You need to get to the water. This may have been the fastest you ever ran and because of this, you were more likely to fall. You hoped the God's you wouldn't but you did. You trip and your hands landed onto a cart, of course setting it on fire. You heard D/N screech behind you. You realised you didn't have time to run down to the shore, you have to jump in. But you were stopped before you could start running again, it was D/N, he had your foot wrapped with his tail.

"I have to go!" You yelled. He wouldn't let his grip go. You tried to slip out of it and you did, but when your hands hit the ground everything within a 30ft (9.1m) radius caught on fire.

"Hiccup get back!" You yelled as you got up. He gave you a horrified look. You could see Valka running towards him from a distance and you turned around and started running again.

You could see the cliff. You'd have to push off the edge to get far enough away from the side so you wouldn't hit it on the way down. You had to land the right way as well, or else the landing could kill you. You could get knocked unconscious and drown but it's better than burning the whole village alive.

You made the jump. You managed to get away from the edge perfectly but landing, you could've done better. If anyone else did that, they'd be dead. But as you landed, it hurt like a bitch, but you weren't unconscious and you weren't dead. You swam to the top and saw the water sizzling, just how it would when you dip a hot metal in water. You began to swim over to the dock and you crawled onto it. You laid there, not sure what to do? Walk back into town? Or grab a boat and leave forever?

"Y/N!" You heard a familiar voice yelled from behind you. It was Hiccup. "Are you okay?"

"Uh....If spontaneously setting things on fire and jumping off a cliff is 'okay', then yeah, perfect." You said out of breath.

"You played that smart." Valka said walking up behind him. "Any longer and you would've set the whole village on fire. And don't worry, we've put them out."

"Fantastic. So, is this gonna be a regular thing or like....?" You asked her.

"Well, your gonna have to figure out how to control, all this." She responded.

"So like, Dragon Training but Y/N Training?" You asked again, you sounded very light-headed.

"Exactly." Valka said. You began to stand up, only to pass out immediately as you got on your feet.
