The Dreamer
It snowed last night. A light dusting that covered all tracks and left fresh snow upon the treetops. It's lovely. I look forward to taking a walk to the village today, to pick up more paper. I absolutely love watching my footsteps turn into light tracks in the powdery snow. It's as if i'm leaving my mark upon a cold world.
She came to me once more; the little girl who haunts me. She questioned my life. Am I happy? Is this what I want? Well, what more could I ask for? I have a beautiful home, in a peaceful wood. This place in pure, untainted, clean. I spend my time walking among the snowy woods, and writing worlds of my own making upon paper. This is what I want. What else could I desire?
And yet, I cannot help but think about what she asked. Am I happy? Why am I questioning the life I chose, when it is the one I've lived for so long?
