The accident

Chapter 5

I woke up at around 7am and had a quick shower. Once I was out of the shower I put on a plain white bikini then put on my clothes Shannon and I chose last night. I then dried my hair and started on my makeup. I put on a little bit of foundation, waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner. Once my makeup was done I then straightened my hair and left it down.

I grabbed my phone and checked the time, it was almost 9am. I went onto instagram and uploaded a quick selfie then decided to text Toby because I haven't spoken to him since I left England.

Me- Hey Toby, how are you? I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you since I left England, I have been busy sorting my room out and getting to know the neighbourhood. I just wanted to let you know that I miss you and Shannon so much, I really hope you will be able to visit me soon, the weather here is amazing!

He texted back almost straight away.

Toby- Chloe! I was starting to think you forgot about me! Yeah I'm great thanks but missing you, it's not the same without you here. Shannon and I will definitely come visit you soon, I really need a tan, have you got a tan yet?

Me- I would never forget about you! No, I don't have a tan yet, hopefully I will get one soon because at the moment I look like a ghost compared to everyone in my neighbourhood.

Toby- I'm sure you will. So what are you up to today?

Me- I'm going out with my new friend Cameron, has Shannon told you about him yet?

Toby- Yeah! She told me that you like him but won't admit it.

Me- Well I do like him but I hardly know him at the moment, we only met a few days ago.

Toby- I'm so happy for you, but don't forget about us!

Me- Of course I won't forget about you.

Toby- Right, I'm going to go bed now, love you, Shannon and I will Skype you soon.

Me- Okay, love you too, bye.

I took my phone off charge then walked downstairs to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

"You look pretty, are you going out?" My mum asked as I entered the kitchen, "Yeah, with Cameron" I said then a smiled formed on my mums face, "what?" I asked confused, "You seem to be getting close to this Cameron person" she said still smiling, "Well he was the first person I met from around here" I said, "Are you sure you don't like him?" she asked with an even bigger smile now, "Mum!" I moaned, "So when are we going to meet him?" she asked seriously now, "I don't know" I said getting out a bowl and a box of cereal, "You should invite him round for dinner tomorrow night" she said, "Okay" I said then poured the cereal into the bowl, I then walked to the fridge and got out the milk and poured it into the bowl of cereal. I put everything away then walked into the living room and sat on the sofa next to Harrison.

"So how are you and Nicole?" I asked then took a mouthful of my cereal, "We are okay at the moment, I haven't really spoke to her much but I think she is going to come visit us soon" he said, "Oh good" I said then carried on eating my cereal.

By the time I finished my cereal it was 11:45. I walked back into the kitchen and washed up my bowl then went back upstairs to put on my shoes. I put on my white converse then grabbed a towel from the bathroom and headed back downstairs to wait for Cameron.

After waiting for about 15 minutes the doorbell finally rang, "bye mum" I shouted then opened the door, Cameron stood there smiling, "hey" I said with a smile, "you ready?" He asked, "yep" I said then stepped out shutting the door behind me.

"I remembered my towel" I giggled as we got into the car, "oh good" he chuckled then started driving. "So, where are we going?" I asked, "To the beach!" He said with a smile.

We finally arrived at the beach. Cameron parked the car then he turned around and grabbed something off of the back seat, "Are we having a picnic on the beach" I said excitedly, "yep" he chuckled then we got out of the car. Cameron walked around the car to meet me and slowly took hold of my hand, I looked up at him and he quickly looked at me with a smile then started walking.

We found a nice spot on the beach then set up our picnic. "Would you like to come round mine for dinner tomorrow night?" I asked as we sat down on the picnic blanket, "I would love to" he said then reached into the basket and pulled out sandwiches, passing one to me. "What is this?" I asked as I took a bite of my sandwich, "Peanut butter and jelly sandwich" he said confused, "I've never tried this before, but it is good" I said then took another bite.

"Want to go for a swim?" Cameron asked as we both took our last bites of our sandwich, "sure" I said then we both stood up and got undressed. "Race ya" I quickly said before sprinting off towards the sea. It wasn't long until Cameron caught up to me, he picked me up bridal style and continued running, "Cameron put me down, this is cheating" I screeched with laughter. Once he got to the sea he started walking while still holding me. Eventually he put me down, the sea reaching just above my waist. "It's so cold" I giggled while shivering, "don't be a wimp" he chuckled then splashed me, "CAMERON" I said while giggling, then I splashed him back.

We ended up having a massive water fight until we decided to walk back to the picnic blanket. We sat down and admired the sunset along the horizon. "It's so beautiful" I said in amazement, "like you" Cameron said causing me to blush and look away, "Chloe" he said softly, I slowly turned my head to look at him, "I really like spending time with you" he said with a smile, "I like spending time with you too" I said while smiling back at him, "promise we will always remain friends" he said, sticking his pinky out, "I promise" I said then wrapped my pinky around his.

Once it started to get dark we packed up all our things and got dressed then walked along to beach back to the car.

"I will see you tomorrow" I said as Cameron pulled up outside my house, "can't wait" Cameron said with a smile. I grabbed my towel then quickly ran inside.

"So, how was it?" my mum asked, making me jump, "did you seriously stay awake just so I could tell you what happened" I said while giggling, "maybe" she said then giggled, "well nothing really happened, we just went to the beach and had a picnic" I said, "well did he ask you to be his girlfriend?" She asked, "no mum, he doesn't like me in that way" I said, "I bet he does but his just to shy to admit it" she said, "I doubt it" I said, "anyway, did you ask him if he wants to come over for dinner tomorrow night?" she asked with a smile on her face, "Yeah he said yes, I'm going to go bed now" I said then yawned, "night darling" she said then kissed my forehead, I then started making my way upstairs to my room.

I had a quick shower and then got into a pair of pyjama shorts and a vest top. I put my phone on charge and got into bed then shut my eyes thinking about today until I fell asleep.
