The accident

Chapter 6

I woke up at around 10am and checked my phone, I had a text from Shannon and one from Cameron's friend Matthew. I opened Shannon's text first.

Shannon- How was your date with Cameron?

I texted back straight away.

Me- It was really good. We went to the beach and had a picnic.

While I waited for Shannon to reply I opened Matthew's text message.

Matthew- Hey Chloe, do you wanna go penny boarding with me today?

Me- Sure, but I don't know how to so you'll have to teach me :p.

Matthew- Okay, I will meet you at the beach at 12.

Me- Great, see you then.

Suddenly my phone started ringing, it was Shannon. "Hey Shannon" I said excitedly, "Did he ask you to be his girlfriend?!" She asked quickly, "no, he didn't, he's coming round for dinner tonight though" I said which instantly put a smile on my face, "He so likes you! Why hasn't he asked you out yet?!" She said sounding quite annoyed, "We're just friends Shannon" I giggled, "not for long though, I bet he will ask you soon, just you wait, anyway I have to go sleep now" she said, "I doubt it, but okay, goodnight Shannon" I said then put the phone down.

I quickly checked the time, it was nearly half 10. I got up then picked out my clothes to wear. I chose a pair of black high wasted shorts, and a white crop top which says 'Miami' in the corner. Once I was dressed I started on my makeup. I applied foundation, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and some lip balm I then tied my hair up in a messy bun. Before leaving my room I put on my white converse then grabbed my phone and made my way downstairs to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

I wasn't very hungry so I just had a few strawberries then went and sat in the living room. Ellie was in there watching TV. "Ellie, could I please borrow your penny board?" I asked, "Why, you going on another date with Cameron?" She asked sarcastically, "no actually, I'm going out with one of my new friends, Matthew" I said, "You can't penny board anyway" she said, "He is going to teach me" I said, "fine, but don't break it" she said, "thanks" I said excitedly, then I ran up to her room to go grab it.

I finally found it, it was mint green with light pink wheels. I checked the time and it was almost half 11 so I decided I would start walking towards the beach.

As soon as I got there I could see Matthew waiting by this little ice cream stand. "Hey" I said as I finally reached him, "Chloe!" He said with a big smile on his face, "So, are you going to teach me how to ride this thing" I giggled whilst holding up the penny board, "sure, right put it on the ground and put your right foot on it" he said then put his penny board down and put his foot on it, I did exactly what he said and started to wobble, so I put my arm on Matthew's shoulder to keep my balance, "okay, so all you've got to do now is push off with your left foot and then put it on your board once you've got going, follow me" he said then started pushing off with his left foot, I did what he said and followed behind him. All of a sudden Matthew stopped, "how do I stop?!" I yelled, "put your left foot down" he shouted, I put my foot down on the floor and ended up flying forward. "Chloe! Are you okay?" Matthew asked worriedly, "yeah" I said then began to laugh which made Matthew start laughing, he then put both his hands out, I took hold of them and he helped me up. Suddenly my hands began to sting, I looked at them and they were both scraped but weren't bleeding, I then looked down and my knees and blood was dripping from my right knee, "we should probably go and clean that up" Matthew said then we both picked up our boards then headed towards his house since it was closer.

Once we got to his house he took me into the kitchen and told me to sit on the side, he walked over to one of the cupboards and got out a first aid kit. He then began to wipe the blood off of my cut with a disinfectant wipe. "Cameron really likes you ya know" Matt said, breaking the silence, "how do you know?" I asked sarcastically, "he never stops talking about you" he said and a smile instantly formed on my face, "what does he say?" I asked, "He is always saying how beautiful you are and how much he likes you but he is to scared to ask you out just in case he gets rejected" Matthew said whilst placing a plaster/bandaid over my cut. I hopped off the side and stood in front of Matthew, "do you have a play station?" I asked, "yeah, why?" He asked, "Can we go play some games?" I asked excitedly, "sure" he chuckled and then started walking towards the room where his play station was.
