The accident

Chapter 1

"I'm so glad school is finally over" Shannon said as we entered my bedroom. Shannon is one of my best friends, she is tall with long straight brown hair and dark brown eyes, she is so pretty. "What are we going to do this summer?" Toby asked as he sat down on my bed. Toby is my other best friend, he is the same age as Shannon and I, 17, He also has brown hair and its short but has blue eyes, he has a few freckles across his nose and under his eyes, I think he likes Shannon but he is too scared to admit it. I on the other hand am quite small with long curly brown hair but I usually straighten it, I have green eyes and no where near as pretty as Shannon! Me, Shannon and Toby have been best friends since we were around 5 and I don't know what I would do if I ever lost them!

"We should so go camping" Shannon suggested, "Yeah but we can't trust British weather, it will probably rain most of the summer" I said, "Don't be so negative Chloe!" Toby said, "We could stay in a caravan" Shannon said, "Maybe, I was thinking we could go to loads of festivals and concerts" I said, "Chloe, that is a great idea" Shannon squealed.

"Chloe can we talk to you for a minute" My dad shouted from downstairs, "I will be down in a second" I shouted back, "We will wait here" Toby said. I got up then walked downstairs, My older brother Harrison and my younger sister Ellie were both sitting on the sofa across from my mum and dad. I sat down next to Ellie and listened to what my parents had to say.

"So as you know, your dad has been looking for a new and better job" My mum spoke up, "Yeah and I have been offered a job, a really good one actually" My dad said, "That's great! Whereabouts is it?" I asked, my mum and dad both looked at each other and smiled, "California" they both said at the same time, "Wait, so you're leaving us to work in California?" Harrison said confused, "No we're moving to California, as a family" My mum said excitedly, I sat there in shock. "Really?! This is so exciting" Ellie said, Harrison didn't say anything he just got up and left, he was probably upset because he now has to leave his girlfriend Nicole whose he has been dating for almost 3 years! "So what do you think?" My mum asked turning towards me, I could feel anger boiling up inside me, "What do I think? I think this is stupid! No way am I leaving my friends just so you can go do your shitty job in California!" I shouted, "Chloe, mind your language, and we're the parents it's our decision and we're moving, next week!" My dad shouted, i could feel tears building up, "Next week" I said quietly then started to cry, "Chloe" my mum said and came to sit next to me, I stood up then ran upstairs.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Shannon asked worriedly, I sat down on my bed in between Toby and Shannon and wiped my tears away, "My dad has been offered a job" I said, "That's great, where?" Toby asked, "California" I said quietly, "So why are you upset? You will still be able to see your dad, just not as often" Shannon said, "Because it's not just my dad going, it's my whole family, we're moving to California next week!" I said then started to cry. Shannon and Toby both hugged me, "It will be okay Chloe, We will still see you" Shannon said, "Yeah, we will save up our money and come see you, or you can come back and see us" Toby said, "I'm gonna miss you guys so much" I sobbed then we all group hugged.

Toby and Shannon went home and I sat alone in my room. I decided to go see Harrison. "Harrison, are you okay?" I asked as I entered his room. Harrison and I are really close so we tell each other everything. "What shall I do Chloe?" He asked, I sat next to him on his bed, "what do you mean?" I asked confused, "Nicole, shall I break up with her or try having a long distance relationship?" He asked, "talk to her, see what she thinks is best" I said, "Yeah good idea, I will go over to hers right now" he said then stood up, I gave him a quick hug then walked over to Ellie's room.

"Hey Ellie" I said as I walked in to her room, "Hey Chloe" she said, "Are you okay about moving to California?" I asked, "yeah I can't wait, think of all the fit boys and the sun and how tanned we will get" she said excitedly, "Yeah, but your friends, won't you miss them?" I asked, "Yeah but I can still Skype them and text them and I will make new friends at my new school" she said, "True, well I'm going to go bed now" I said then headed towards the door. I walked back into my bedroom and got changed into my pyjamas. I scrolled through Twitter and Instagram for a bit until I decided to go to sleep.
