I awoke to a piercing pain in my side. I looked over to see Hikaru poking me, seeming like she wanted my attention. I sat upwards.
"Can I help you?"
"I'm kinda hungry..." She spoke in a soft voice.
"Ugh... what time is it?"
"Six AM." She said, pointing at the alarm clock.
"Alright, fine. I need to get up anyway."
I placed my feet on the floor and stood up, very weary-like. I've realized I'm not a morning person. Since I've never needed to sleep before, I never really noticed.
I quickly got changed and headed out of the room, Hikaru closely in tow. When I walked into the kitchen, I saw Toshiro and Jei sitting at the table, eating what looked like pancakes.
"You guys didn't wake me up for breakfast?"
"We wanted you to sleep a bit longer. You've been through a lot recently." Jei said, before taking a sip of his coffee. Hikaru excitedly ran to the table and began to grab a pancake off the tall stack.
I chuckled and just sat down beside them. I felt a slight throbbing in my arm. I rolled up my sleeve and my eyes grew wide. The red marking that appeared in my dream was glowing subtly. I quickly rolled down my sleeve and just acted casual so no one would notice.
