Chapter 6~ Let's not bite

The same evening you connected with Jax, you hoped that he would receive and meet with you in your home.

Now that you knew a little more about the drug, such as its name and the quality of it. The only thing you needed was validation. And right now, Jax was on personal trials for it with his sister Kat.

Revving your engines a bit, advising Jax if he were to be home. With the gate open, you brought yourself to park in the driveway before turning off the bike and removing your helmet. As soon as you removed yourself from the seat and brought yourself into the house. Locked the door behind you and made your way to the kitchen for something to drink but once you grew closer, the noises were obvious that there was someone already inside. Steadying your steps as you walked closer, just to see the outline of Jax's back looking into the fridge. 

"Don't think I have everything you need" You stated as you walked over to the island to place your helmet and gloves on it.

Jax didn't bother turning around until he found some leftover pizza. "Perfect" was all you heard before he turned around with a slice in his mouth. 

You sighed softly before walking out of the kitchen, pushing the patio door open to make your way into the yard. It was still sundown and you thought about Az, hoping he did make it home but you didn't worry since he has his crew with him.

You've gathered some wood and placed them into the fire pit. It was a calm night without too much wind. It was perfect. 

"Jax, come sit." You stated to him as you watched him begin to walk over to the fire pit where you stood. He'd watch you light it up with a lighter you always carried.

"You still have that lighter I bought you? Thought you would have gotten rid of it after our fight." He stated after he had chewed his pizza. He sat down on the bench opposite of you, still giving you some time even though you both spent the night together close to almost 24hrs ago. 

You couldn't help but look at him with a slight tilt "I wanted to at first but... I couldn't bring myself to do it." Your eyes shifted down to your feet for a brief moment. Thinking that you needed to bring up the issue about the drugs with him soon. Just as you thought about it, Damascus called you. Taking your phone out to see who it was, you sighed and answered him.

"Hey" You spoke out into the phone.

"I got intel. So I'll make it brief for ya. That drug is called Fairydream. That powder can be deadly when given a high dose. That chick who fell for it only received about 1/4 of it. So be fucking careful if this is going around easily." Damascus stated over the phone.

"Okay, thanks, man. I'll advise all of my members to watch what they are doing. Watch yourself too, do go fucking try it. I know you can be curious" you stated to him with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Ya ya ya, I've seen your report, and I don't plan on dying. You still need me, pretty boy." He stated with a slight scuff at the end.

You both ended the call and Jax stared at you without any emotion. You knew he heard that name. You both stared at each other, yourself with an unimpressed glare. "So Jax, gonna confess to me about it?"

"Confess about what, p-r-e-t-t-y-b-o-y" His words were more of a joke at the end when he spoke out.

"About the fucking drug Jax.. why did you bring it into my town? Why out of all the time in the world, do you show up around the time I find this new drug? Do you know how pissed off that gets me? I tried so fucking hard to have a clean business and this is what I end up with now? I don't want to deal with the feds for a simple drug that leads to... to someone that means a lot to me." Your words slowed down and were small at the end, realizing you've just confessed to him that you still wanted him. Your eyes shifted up for a moment to see his own being widened and in shock at the information he had just swallowed.
