Long chapter ahead! It didn't feel right to cut it.

That morning after seeing Az's text message. Valeria rose out of bed with a short scream, she couldn't believe that he has actually replied!. She ran over to Mikey's room, opened the door, and jumped on his bed to wake him up. "Mikey! Mikey! Az replied! H-he replied! What do I say?!" She stated, showing the screen to him. As Mikey was woken up abruptly, he was confused for a moment before squinting at the screen Valeria was showing, seeing Az texted her. "just fucking ask him where he is. Been fucking worried." Mikey stated putting his arm over his eyes to cover them. Valeria sat at the edge texting him back immediately asking where he has been for the last month.

Az opened his eyes to the soft sound of a chime from his phone. After picking it up, he tapped open Valeria's text. He thought for a moment before standing from the bed he slept in and walking to a nearby window. Opening it, he snapped a picture of what was in front of him: A glowing orange sunrise over a large lake with a dense forest on one side of the lake. Rather than explain, he sent this picture to Valeria with a single word. "~Here~". After sending the text, he reached to his nightstand and retrieved a cigarette from the bedside table, and lit it, taking a long drag before leaning against the window.

Still sitting next to a sleepy Mikey, she tapped away at her phone after Az replied to her text with a photo "~I don't know where THAT is.. please tell me. I wanna come to see you. You can't be alone like that~" Valeria texted back, her hands slightly shaking. She wasn't sure why but she felt nervous.

"Can't be alone, huh.." he mumbled to himself. Taking another long pull from his cigarette, he exhaled and began texting back. "~Can ya keep a secret?~" Before setting his phone back on the windowsill. He turned his head back to the bedside table and grabbed a bottle of whiskey, only a quarter left. He brought it to his lips and took a mouthful of it before setting it on the sill as well.

She looked back at Mikey, seeing he had fallen back asleep just from hearing his breathing deepen and a faint snore coming out. She brought herself up and tiptoed out of his room, closing the door behind her softly. "~I can.~" was all she replied as she stepped back into her room, dropping her body on the bed to wait for his reply. She wondered and still felt worried somehow.

The next text Valeria received was a pinned location from him. It was a good five hours away from Obsidian City, in the middle of nowhere. By the map, it was near a small town that had a train depot, but was otherwise secluded and only had small highways leading to it. His location had a singular road leading up to it. "~C'mon then.~" followed his previous message, after which he tossed his phone onto the bed. The bottle in front of him replaced his phone, bringing it to his lips to finish it off in three swallows before tossing it to the side with a soft clatter.

Valeria waited patiently with her phone in hand. As soon as the ding was made, she opened it and placed the location on it to see how far it was. To her surprise, he was as far as she thought he would be but still enough to get everyone worried. Her right leg began to shake nervously, biting down on her lower lip as she contemplated whether to go or not. She hadn't been out of the house long or gone somewhere that far alone. "~Okay~" She texted him back before getting up to gather a bag with a few items pieces and some medication with some bandages. She wasn't sure of his state after the event about a month ago. Was he hurt and never took care of himself? She wouldn't know until she got here. Valeria quickly ran around to get ready such as showering, getting dressed, and putting her backpack on. She made sure to leave a note for Mikey once he woke up. She debated on how to get there but... Mikey's bike is the best option since she can ease out of traffic, not wasting any time. Taking his helmet, gloves, and coat. She ran outside unlocking the garage door and gate before turning on his bike. She never drive his bike, but she did ride it before which was familiar to her. "I guess today is the day I'll learn how to drive... Sorry brother.. you might need to fix it later.." she stated to herself before stalling it a few times until she got the notion of how it worked and quickly made her way toward Az "On my way.." she said to herself with her hands and breath shaking.
