Akari brushed her dark black hair as she glanced in the mirror. Today she was doing some special training with her team, so was her brother Sasuke. He had left earlier and didn't eat but he did set out a plate of grilled fish for Akari.
As Akari walked along the buzzing streets of Konohagakure she couldn't help but think of him. And how her life changed after that fateful night. She knew Sasuke hated him but Akari couldn't bring herself to, most of her childhood memories involve him. This plugged Akari's mind as she made her way to the training area.
"Took you long enough" Kenji spat
"Good morning to you too Kenji" Akari sighed.
Asami chuckled as she messed around with her braid,
"Don't worry Akari, Kenji got here a few minutes before you"
"Is that so?" Akari giggled
Kenji huffed as he fluffed his sandy blonde hair, "I'm going to be an amazing shinobi, after all don't forget who my great grandfather is."
Akari deadpanned "Am I the only one on this team not related to a hokage!?"
"Your not the only one" Umi jumped off a tree branch and made her way over to her students.
"Umi- Sensei!" Akari gleamed
Kenji side eyed her "Took you long enough"
Umi placed her hands on her hips "Actually I've been here for 3 hours! I'm not like Kakashi!" She chuckled
Suddenly a scream bellowed through the forest. It hit the genin right in their ears.
"Speaking of Kakashi" Umi stated "Let's start training alright!"
The genin nodded at her as she smirked
"I have your skills on a chart but tell me what you can do!" Umi said sitting down on a rock.
"I have EDS!" Akari started "I basically have no backbone and can bend in unusual forms!"
"Doesn't that mean your bruise easily?"
Akari chuckled nervously "Yeah, that's why I wear pads on my body!"
"I also have the Sharigan!" The uchiha stated proudly
"That's nice. Asami what about you?"
"I-i dont.. can't do anything" She said sounding disappointed.
"We can fix that! What about you Kenji?"
"Just read my chart" He rolled his eyes
Umi face palmed as she started thinking to herself we have a uchiha which is great but she bruises easily, next we have a shy girl who is isn't confident and finally this sassy crap. This is going to be a challenge, but I wouldn't like it any other way!
Umi got to her feet, "tomorrow is our first mission! Be ready!"
"Your not going to train us?" Akari pondered
"No, it's better to see you in action!"
Umi chuckled as she left the genin confused in the training ground.
"Today was a waste" Kenji scoffed
"You can say that-" Akari was interrupted by a pebble hitting the back of her head.
"Hey stupid Akari, some people need this field for training!"
It was Kanna
"I was just leaving" Akari sighed
"Your pathetic" Kanna started "Your sensei doesn't even want to train you. Oh well, once an idiot always an idiot"
Akari gripped her fist, "Just shut up okay!"
Kanna walked towards her and shoved her "Then maybe get a little smarter!"
Akari tripped and fell on the ground, "Ouch!"
Asami slid behind Kenji "Why is she so mad" She whispered.
Kanna pointed at Akari, "Your so weak! Even Sasuke thinks so! I don't even know why you were spared!"
"That's enough, Kanna"
A boy about 2 years older then Akari stood in front of her, he had his hand on Kanna's wrist. "Kanna, stop being so mean to your friend"
Kanna pulled her wrist away, "She's not my friend!"
"Seems likely, she seems cooler then you" He teased
"Ugh! Why do you always take someone else's side, Big Brother!"
Akari twitched her eyes big brother!? They didn't even look alike, Kaito had pale skin and red hair while Kanna had black and blonde hair with fair skin. The only similarity was their clothes.
He chuckled "Go home already"
Kanna nodded her head and huffed, she was ticked off but she did as she was told.
The boy turned to Akari and helped her get up, "Sorry about Kanna, she can be so annoying.."
Akari just nodded her head.
He laughed, "Your goofy you know that? Oh by the way I'm Kaito." He took out his hand for Akari to shake, but she just stood there flabbergasted about what just happened.
Kaito chuckled again, "I'll see you around"
And with that he left and Akari still stood there like an idiot.
"That was eventful" Kenji said
"No kidding" Akari managed to mutter out, Akari tapped her foot "I feel like I'm forgetting something..."
"OH SHOOT"
"SASUKE IS MAKING DINNER! IM GONNA BE LATE"
