noah comes into the kitchen "your awake"i say he nods and sits on one of the stools

"w-what are you making?"noah asks "i was watching princess and the frog and beignets sounded really good"i say "but there chocolate filled"i say noah nods

"s-she would whip me w-with her big bulky belt, the one that had spikes on it and i-i just remember the spikes getting stuck in my back and it would hurt so bad but she never let me cry a-and if i cried she'd make sure to hit me a thosand times harder"noah says

i didn't realise i was crying "papa don't cry, please don't cry"noah mumbles

"she would leave for days at a time and she'd leave me at the dining room table telling me i had to stay at the table and eat whatever she left"noah says "that's why i don't like eating meals alone"he says

a sob leaves my lips as noah keeps telling me everything saint had done to him
