        It was early in the morning in the Vervain household, the only one who was awake was Ivan Vervain who was getting ready to make his was to Diagon alley with some friends of his .Once the sun has risen up completely he made his was to Diagon alley as he was waiting for his friends he bumped into Cedric Digory. They have been friends since the day both of them was sorted into Hufflepuff , it was truly the day that held the most memories to them. Cedric was the first to say something " Ivan its nice to see you again " Cedric smiled brightly as he hugged Ivan tightly, Ivan wasn't really someone who likes physical contact but Cedric was an exception. Ivan's face was dusted with a pink blush as he tried to get out of Cedric's strong grasp " its only been a month Cedric..it wasn't that long " " it was certainly long for me sending letter's wasn't enough " Cedric might've not realized how close their face was but Ivan did his face burning from embarrassment. Cedric finally let go of Ivan , thank lord they're friends arrived just as he pulled away Orion looked at them questionably but decided not to ask anything after seeing how red Ivan's face was. He smirked to himself and told them " the rest might running late its best if you two go together instead~ " a teasing tone followed along with the line. Before Ivan could say anything Cedric placed his arm around Ivan's waist " we'll make our way then " he said before dragging Ivan with eager loving the idea of spending time alone with Ivan alone.

Once they were there they checked upon places they needed to go and bumped into their other friends which they bid their ' hello's ' and left. 

Walking side by side none of them said a word , only small talks about where one of them wanted to go. It was getting to quite and Ivan didn't like that , he cleared up his voice "it's very crowded isn't it...especially when there's a lot of..people starting their year 1. Realizing that Cedric wasn't answering him Ivan turned around to see Cedric staring at the new nimbus 2000 broom.

He walked up behind Cedric to hear him staring at it , Ivan chuckled slightly before Cedric turned and look at him " sorry i got distracted " Ivan smiled softly before walking away Cedric trailing behind him. After a couple of minutes they decided that they were done getting what they wanted and needed , Ivan was planning on heading home while Cedric was staying at Diagon alley to hangout with some of his friends. Ivan bid his goodbye's to Cedric and his friends walking away from them but he could hear Cedric's friends teasing him. It didn't take long before Ivan arrived at his house he decided to start packing the things he needed. He didn't have any siblings but he did have cousin's lots of cousin's , his parents would drop him off at the King Cross Station tomorrow and he'll be on his own. Ivan's parents knew that they didn't need to worry about Ivan they trusted him enough after all these years he's been attending Hogwarts. They were proud of what they're son has become.

The next day , Ivan's parent dropped him off and they bid they're goodbyes to each other. Ivan gave them once last hug before making his way to the platform , he looked back to them waving at him and he waved back smiling before disappearing from their sight. He looked around the platform seeing students and their parents saying their goodbye's before boarding the train.

The moment he boarded the train the sound of excited students can be heard, some were running around with they're friends some were catching up. Not something that Ivan would admit but he was looking for Cedric , he found an empty coach and decided to just sit there. The door suddenly burst open and there he was the guy he was originally looking for , Cedric was smiling at him as he walked over and placed his hand on Ivan's head messing his hair up.

Ivan pouted but he couldn't hep it but smiled afterward , " someone was in a rush " Ivan teased. Cedric sat beside him and chuckled " Orion said he saw you goin here so i might as well accompany you " he smirked. Oh how Ivan just wanted to wipe that smirk off his face , " well it's just the two off us...hopefully our friends doesn't make any weird jokes about us.." Ivan mumbled the last part to himself. As the train was moving they could see tons of parents waving to their kids some looking sad some looked proud. Ivan couldn't help it but smiled to himself , as times went by Ivan now was looking at the trolley filled with sweet he decided to buy something for Cedric as well , while he was scanning through he looked up and his eyes met with a young boy who has a lighting scar on his head. 

' Harry Potter..'

He quickly averted his gaze to the trolley lady , and gave her the money. before he entered his coach again he glanced towards the young boy , seeing Harry Potter enter his coach so Ivan did the same. The second he entered , he was greeted by a hug none other than Orion. Ivan was a bit annoyed since he was holding the sweets he bought , Cedric saw his expression and pulled Orion away from him Ivan mumbled a small thank you and sat down beside Cedric while the Gryffindor boy sat across them. He smirked when he saw how close Cedric and Ivan was before he could say something Ivan spoke up " you might want to think before saying anything.." Ivan said his face unfazed. Orion decided not to say anything but he definitely was about to assume something was going on between Ivan and Cedric.

It took a couple of hours before the train came to a halt , new students were looking outside to the big castle looking at awe. They soon got off and was greeted by Hagrid  , Orion went to his other friends leaving Ivan and Cedric again. They both rod the carriage to the school together and soon they have arrived in front of Hogwarts safely.
