Author's pov It was 6 in the morning, a boy can be seen running on the field, lost in his own world. He had a lot of things on his mind, and and so he kept running continuously. His teammates look at him tensed, this has been going on for days, he hasn't been getting enough sleep, scratch that he has been getting no sleep at all and is surviving on coffee. Even then his performance hasn't been bad, he's playing exceptionally well. His bestfriends Abhay and Nagar look at each other frowning . They were done with the laps but he still wouldn't stop, so they kept running behind him.
Shubman's Pov I was running my Laps when I heard a voice calling me Abhay- are ruk ja mere bhai, laps khatam ho gaye he, kab tak bhagta rahega? Nagar - bhai slow down ho ja please, pair dukh rahe he mere 😭 Shubman stopped seeing his bestfriends struggle to catch up with him and shook his head. They were too dramatic sometimes, he knew they could easily catch up, they were athletes after all. . Shub- tum log kitne bade dramebaaz ho, merko pata he ki you guys can easily catch up to fir ye overacting ki kya zarurat he? Abhay- bhai, hame 25 laps lene the par tu pakka 40 laps le chuka hoga abtak Shub-ohhh, sorry mene dhyan nahi diya , he says smiling sheepishly Nagar - Shub, tu firse nahi soya na? Coffe ka asar kuch zyada hi dikhta he tere pe Abhay- shubhi dekh, hum tere ache ke liye hi keh rahe he, we're your bestfriends, terko jo bhi tension he tu humse share karna yaar, aur humse nahi to kisi aur se kar Nagar- And the better option is ki tu ek therapist ke paas jaa Shub- Therapist ke paas kyu jau? Pagal nahi hu main bas neend nahi ati he merko. Aur tum log merko sleeping pills bhi nahi lene dete, me kya Karu 😭 Abhay- abe tu kaunse zamane me jee raha he, therapist jana matlab ye nahi he ki tu pagal he samjha. Tu agar jaega to you'll feel better because tu humse baat share karta nahi he Shub- acha theek he merko koi bhi problem hogi na me tum dono ko bataunga theek he? Par me kisi ke paas nahi jaunga dekh lo Nagar- ha theek he chal ab ro mat, shubhi babyyyyyyy He said this and kissed Shub's cheeks Shub- ayee chee yaar dur hat mujhse aur tu kyu meri girlfriend ke peeche pada rehta he? Wakt ane par terko pata chalega 🤷🏻♂️ Shub- are meri jaan tu tension bahut leta he aja tujhe me ek pappi du Saying this he went to give a kiss to him while Nagar ran for his dear life 😂. Abhay enjoyed the show until both of them saw him and ran towards him Their teammates saw them and shook their heads at their banters and then went on to do their practice knowing they will come in a while.
After a tiring day at practice, Shubman was lying on his bed scrolling through Instagram when he got a call from his brother ( from another mother 😁) Caller ID - Ishuu ❤️✨ He smiled and picked up a call to hear a very irritated Ishaan on the line Ishaan- Shubbbbbb mere bhaii, merko gussa a raha he Shub- kyu kya ho gaya? Ishaan- yaar ye naye MI ke players Rohit bhaiya se bahut chipak rahe he, chalo bache to theek he ye foreigners bhi chipak rahe he unse 😭 Shub- are maybe he's just trying to make them feel comfortable, tum log to anyway team India me saath khelte ho na? Aur anyway IPL me to time he abhi to fir tera complaint quota abhi se kyu chalu he? Ishaan- are wo aj rohit bhai ke ghar pe sabka get together tha so isliye aur ek minute mera complaint quota matlab kya? Me complaint box hu? Shub- Haaa 😁 Ishaan- chup reh merko baat nahi karni😤 Shub- acha theek he nahi he tu complaint box Ishaan- haina, merko pata tha, me acha bacha hu😁 Shub- Tu jealousy ka pitara he, aur ek minute tu bacha he? Mujhe laga tu budha ho raha he Ishaan- yaar tu merese sirf ek saal chota he har baat pe beizzati karna zaruri he? Shub- Exactly, I'm just one year younger than you to tera ye, I'm the bigger one card won't work on me Mr.Kishan Ishaan- ha ha theek he, zyada hoshiyari mat maaar Even though he said this in an angry tone shub could feel him smiling through the phone and this made him smile 😊 Shub- chal ab, phone rakh merko sone de, main thak gaya hu practice karke teri tarah Vella nahi tha me Ishaan- ha theek he tu rest kar, aur ek minute Maine bhi practice ki thi, me vella nahi hu. Chal byeee, take care shub, try to sleep ok? Shub- ha ha theek he, chal byee Saying this he disconnected the call He felt happy talking to him and was glad he could make him smile. He doesn't show it but he knows that the breakup took a toll on him. That so called girlfriend of his cheated on him for some mediocre actor, huhh her loss. In a few days girls will be dying to be his girlfriend, he knew it. He then started scrolling on insta again. He decided to stalk his idol's account. So he first went to Sachin sir's account and started scrolling through each of his posts. He stopped on a family picture he had posted

It was a recent picture with his wife and daughter? How didn't he know Sachin sir had a daughter? ( Maybe because you aren't much into his private life, just the professional life) He found himself staring at the girl in the centre. "She's cute" he thought but immediately shook the thought off, horrified, " You have a Gf shubman, get your head straight". He put his phone aside and laid comfortably in his bed, thinking about everything and anything ( overthinking mode activated). Just then his bestfriend Abhay barged in his room. He looked at him and raised his eyebrows Shub- kyaa, itni raat me aise kisi ke room me kaun ghusta he? Abhay- cap ne bola, he says shrugging his shoulders Shub- par kyu? Abhay- well he told me to make sure you get some sheep 🤷🏻♂️ Shub- fine, you can try 🤷🏻♂️😁 Abhay looked at him confused but shrugged and laid beside him
The next morning Nagar- kya hua Abhay tu mari hui atma ki tarah kyu bhag raha he? Abhay- mat puch bhai , I had to make sure ki shub sleeps but na to ye khud soya aur na mujhe sone Diya. Subha coffee pakda di khali 😭 Nagar and shub looked at each other and laughed while Abhay sulked,which caused them and the team to laugh even more
Well here's the first part, I went into details about Shubman's daily life, the training is for the upcoming U-19 worldcup. In the next part we'll meet our female lead and know about her life in London. After that we'll see why our hero has a problem sleeping ( it's not related to girls or anything as you can guess because he already has a Gf, which we don't like right?) Note- the dates of the events may not match upto the dates of the real events. The storyline is following the year 2018, the age of the people mentioned might also be different
