Shubman's POV
It was a fun day, Nagar and aish were dating now and I was genuinely happy for them. Just then I decided to call my girlfriend (yeah they are still together smh)
The call was picked but by some other guy
Me- hello who's it?
Guy- oh I'm Sophie's boyfriend. You are his cousin right?
Me- what? Cousin
Guy- yeah your name is saved as cousin sooo... Is everything alright mate?
Me- yeah um yeah everything is fine. Byee
Wowww, I knew the relationship wasn't that serious, but this girl was straight up cheating on me. Her loss, I'm going to play so well and become so famous that she'll regret her choice. The guy seemed sweet, she's probably deceiving him too.
Third person POV
Shubman was awake the whole night thinking about all this and how his friends were absolutely right about his so called gf
In the morning Nagar and abhay barged in the room and saw Shubman awake
Abhay- tu fir nahi soya?
He shook his head at that smiling sheepishly
Nagar- par kyu since the past few days you've been sleeping. Kya hua?
Shub- nothing just found out that Sophie was cheating on me
Abhay- what?
Shub- yeah
Nagar- I told you she was not good for you par humari sunta kaha hai tu. Tu tension mat le she'll regret once you win the world cup and girls will line up for you
Abhay- ha that Sophie girl and that Priya girl(Ishan's cheating ex) will regret for sure
Shub- don't worry guys I'm fine, I don't even feel much heartbroken, I was awake because I couldn't believe how stupid I was to believe her like that. But don't worry , I'll play really well and make everyone proud.
Nagar- that's the spirit. Chal ab practice ke liye. Raste me we'll have coffee
They all went for practice and it took place with the usual Chaos. The world cup was not far away and they were practicing day in and day out
They were sitting in the room relaxing when Nagar's phone rang
Abhay- ohh who's it? Is it the love of his life?
Shub- oh it definitely is her. Right Nagar?
They teased him while nagar picked up Raisha's call and went out blushing
Abhay- atleast he's with the right person.
Shub- yeah she's really sweet and a nice girl.
Abhay- yeah she talks sweetly too unlike a certain someone
Shub- huhh, as if you don't like krishu. You fight with her to get her attention. You think I don't notice?
Shub said teasing him
Abhay- whatever, it's not like she likes me. She finds me annoying and would kick me if I ever said I like her
Shub- kuch bhi mat bol. Just be a bit more sweet to her and show her your kind side. Everything will work out eventually
Abhay- fine but what about you and Sara?
Shub- what about me and her? We are good friends
Abhay- you sure? I think you..
Shub- I'm sure now let's sleep I'm tired
Abhay- you are not hungry?
Shub- yeah I am, order some salad or something
Abhay ordered food, Nagar came in after the call and the boys teased him while eating the food.
The girl's side
Sara- look at our baby girl! All grown up talking to her boyfriend
Aditi- even people younger than me have boyfriends
Ish- you're not even that old Dits
Aditi- still
Aish- stop it you guys, stop teasing me and focus on your stories
Sara - what stories?
Aish- well for starters, shub and his so called gf broke up, she was cheating on him
Sara- how dare she! Why would she cheat on someone like shub? He's a nice guy
Ish- exactly, he's a nice guy. Why don't you try on this nice guy?
Sara- shut up ish we're just friends
Aditi- yeah yeah, just friends. You don't look at him like a just friend
Aish- you to don't speak only. What's with you and Ishan? You let him call you Adi!!
Aditi- there's nothing there. He won't listen even when I tell him to not call me that.
Sara- explain him then, that term triggers you na?
Aditi- ummm, uh not... not really
Ish- woww, look at that, that's some progress Dits
All of them hug her at that, stumbling on top of each other and falling to the floor. They laugh at that
Sara looks at them and thinks, I just hope all of us remain happy God.
Sara- guys on a serious note, let's not do this
Ish- not do what?
Sara- this shipping thing, I don't want our friendships with the guys to be ruined. We are all friends. If something more has to happen it'll happen naturally. Let's not force it okay?
They all agree at her words and sit down to watch a movie
On the other hand
Ishan was telling them the same thing
Ishan- if you keep doing this it'll make things awkward for all of us. Just let it go as it's going. If something is supposed to happen, it'll happen.
Shub- yeah he's talking sense for the first time
Ishan- what do you mean? I'm saner than the three of you
Abhay- you're not, you're just being to yourself because of that girl. You used be the most insane one
Nagar- that's right. Ishu, you are not over her yet?
Ishan- I am over her but the cheating thing still hurts. But don't worry I'm going to a therapist and it's helping a lot. Soon the insane ishan will be back
Shub- that's good, okay good night then, we have practice tomorrow
Ishan- good night guys
