"Micah, I'm sorry. I can explain everything. Please call me back."

I left a thousand messages like this to him. A week has gone by, and he still won't talk to me. I feel so guilty.

I don't remember how I ended up in bed with Dante because I have no memories about what happened after we toasted. I must have had too much to drink, and things must have led from there. That's all I really remember.

That's what I will tell Micah, but I know he won't believe because I've already given him plenty of reasons not to.

Me: I'm here.

Lauler: Good, I'm in the back.

I called Katherine because I need advice and she agreed to meet today, but unfortunately for me, she chose Liaison' restaurant.

"We need to talk?" I say as soon as I reach her table.

"Beth, first off, a hello would be nice, and we can talk, but only if you don't rip off my head like the last time."

"Fine," I say sitting.

"What's up?"

I don't know where to start, so I blurt, "I need advice,"

"About..."

"A guy-"

"Beth if this is about Corey, I can't help you. You're mad if you think that I'm talking about him in here, with you."

Katherine doesn't hesitate to show whose side she's on and it pisses me off instantly.

"It's good to know where you stand..."

I haven't thought about Corey in ages, but now that she brought him up feelings are rushing in.

"...And this isn't about him."

Taken back, she looks down to read the menu. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to jump to conclusion. What do you want to talk about?"

"I like someone and I think he likes me too, but I keep pushing him away."

She clips, "isn't that your specialty Beth?"

"Look Lauler, I know I deserve that, but this isn't about us. If you're going to act like this, then forget about it."

As I get ready to leave, she says, "you're right... I'm sorry, please sit."

I really need the advice, so I sit back down and, in the process Micah walking in. Excitement floods me seeing him. He looks roguishly handsome dressed in dark blue jeans and a matching crew neck sweater.

As I watch him, he steps aside to hold the door open, and Annie comes in view. When he drops his hand to guide her in, the brightest smile breaks across her face as she thanks him.

Jealousy mixed with confusion comes crashing in. Are they together, and when did it happen.

They get escorted to their table and when he pulls out her chair, she pecks his cheek. Betrayal strikes me, at that. I thought Micah was different. He knows she's my friend.

"Beth!"

"Hm-yeah sorry-what?" I answer not taking my eyes off Micah.

"I can't advise you if you don't tell me what's up... what's up?"

"Hold on for one sec Lauler."

I don't bother to hide my disapproval and I don't care that Micah's on a date. I'm going to confront him.

"Beth, wait! You needed my advice, let me advise you. Don't do that. Don't go over there. Just sit down and talk to me."

I'm beyond mad that Micah's is on a date. I thought that he liked me.
