We've been going in circles this whole damn time. The addresses on the second car has no leads, and deeper checks shows that the registration on the kid's car was switched. We can't find the original owner.
"Whoever is behind this knows what they're doing." Riot grates pointing out the obvious.
"We'll have to start all over again," Sevyne adds miserably.
I feel defeated too. All I want to do is crawl into Beth, but I can't leave my friends to do all the work.
"Guys I really appreciate all of your help, but-"
Jordan comes over to rest his hand on my shoulder. "Don't say we should call it quits. I know it's frustrating, but we can get to the bottom of this."
"Let's take a break." Bradley says. "You know how much I hate to agree with him, but he's right. We missed something, and we just need to check again."
Off a heavy sigh I agree with them. "Where's Beth?" I haven't seen her since this morning.
"She went out after breakfast. I think she's trying to give us space to get things done." Riot answers.
"It's been ages though," Sevyne says looking at her watch. "Have you tried calling her?"
"I thought she was here. Did she say where she was going?" I ask getting a dreadful feeling that she ran off.
"She didn't."
"I'm going to check if she's upstairs. Let me know if anything else comes up on the car."

Beth's not in our room and I tried calling her, but it keeps going to voicemail. It gets me mad because yet again she misled me. She told me that she wouldn't run, and I believed her.
Ten minutes after my last call I go back downstairs. "Did you reach her?" Riot asks when she sees me.
"No, I think her phone is off." There all types of thoughts running through my head, and I can't stand them. "I need some fresh air."
I head outside and see Paige stooped down by our cars. Wondering what she's up to, I step off the porch and go down the driveway.
"What's up Paige."
Startled she says, "hey! Micah! I was on my way over when I saw that."
I look down to where she's pointing and see our car tyres have been slashed. "What the fuck!" I bend to have a closer look and hear air leaking out of all the tyres when I get close.
"Paige how long have you been here? Did you see who did this?"
"No. I was on my way over when I heard the sound coming out."
"What happened?!" Sevyne asks coming towards us.
"Someone slashed our tyres." I say just as Bradley, Riot and Jordan comes outside.
"When?! I was just out here," Bradley questions bending beside me.
"I was just telling Micah. I was making my way over when I heard the sound."
As Paige repeats herself, I think, whoever did this must be someone from my past, someone who's still holding a grudge. Fuck! I don't need this shit now.
"I don't think we have enough spares to fix them. "Bradley says walking around the car to check the damages. "Are there any auto-shops near here Paige?"
Happy to come to our rescue, she answers, "yes, I can take you there in the morning."
"The address should be good," Jordan steps in.
