"Appa! I want to go to war!" Arulmozhi pleaded, following his father around the palace.

"No, not right now," Sundara Chozhan shook his head. Kundavai giggled slightly at her brother's whining.

"Why? I'm old enough! Ask Kondumbaloor mama, He says I would make a great warrior!" Arulmozhi said.

"I'm pretty sure you would, Son, but not right now," He took a seat and gestured for his kids to sit down. Kundavai took a seat and rested her head on her father's shoulders, while Arulmozhi stood, his hands crossed against his chest.

"Appa, I want to be like Anna, I want to go to war and do manly stuff," Arulmozhi demanded. Kundavai let out a laugh, he shifted his gaze to his sister. "Do you think I can't take a fight?"

"You can, Thambi, you can," Kundavai said defensively.

"Then?" Arulmozhi raised a brow. Sundara Chozhan patted Arulmozhi's shoulder and made him sit down next to him.

"You're still young, Arulmozhi, You have a lot to learn," He explained.

"Plus, who would control the Anthapuram ladies? They'll be devastated if you left for war, and Vanathi, oh my poor Vanathi will faint upon hearing the news," Kundavai sighed mockingly. "They pamper you too much," Sundara Chozhan laughed and nodded in agreement.

"Akka! Appa!" Arulmozhi blushed.

"Swami?" Vanavan entered the chamber, her face lit up in delight as she saw her children. "Oh! I was just searching for my lovely kids," She said approaching them.

"I'm not a kid anymore, Amma," Arulmozhi said.

"You're always a kid to me, Arulmozhi," She said pulling his cheek. Arulmozhi turned red in embarrassment.

"Okay, okay," Arulmozhi said, defeated. "Amma! Please tell Appa to send me to war," He asked his mother.

"Oh I'm already worried sick about your brother, I don't want to worry about you too," Vanavan said tucking his stray hair behind his ears.

"Speaking of my brother, when is he coming to Thanjai? You keep talking about his coronation but..." Kundavai trailed off, she frowned seeing her father's expression change.

"Yes! What happened in Chevur? Did Anna win?" Arulmozhi asked excitedly.

"Yes," Sundara Chozhan answered, he should've been happy for his son, but there was not an ounce of happiness in his voice.

"Wow! That's awesome!" Arulmozhi jumped. "So he's coming back right?" He asked looking at Vanavan and then at his father.

"I...I don't know, Son," Vanavan Madevi said.

"Appa, Should I visit him and drag him back to Thanjai?" Arulmozhi offered.

"No, Son, it's okay, I've sent my personal messengers with my order for him to return to Thanjai at once, this time he ought to obey the king's words," Sundara Chozhan said firmly. "I have to talk to him, personally," He muttered.

"I've come with a news and almost forgot," Vanavan said hitting her forehead gently. "The chieftains have invited you to the Janmashtami festival," Sundara Chozhan sighed at the news.

"Janmashtami festival?" Kundavai chimed. "Appa are you going to go?"

"I wish I could, magale, But I have duties to fulfill here," Sundara Chozhan said, sadly, he really didn't want to disappoint the chieftains by not going, but what can he do? A king has many duties.

"Arase?" Anriuddha Brahmarayar stood at the entrance.

"Look, I didn't even finish talking about my duties, he's now here to plague me with more," Sundara Chozhan laughed as he got up.
