Dan and Phil walked down the quiet street, the sky represented the darkness of Phil's hair. His hand was firmly interlocked with Dan's. Phil spoke up to break the silence.

"Dan, do you think this is kind of... weird." Phil hesitated and shivered from the slight breeze of wind flowing down his arms, creating Goosebumps.

Dan and Phil were just friends. Maybe a bit too cuddly and affectionate to be friends? Not that either of them minded that.

It all started in 2015 when they were walking down Times Square on a trip to a secret YouTube gathering, and the urge was just too powerful for Dan to ignore. So he gathered what little courage that he had built up inside of him to commence the amorous movement of holding Phil's hand. Phil grasped on tightly to reassure Dan that what he was doing was fine with him.

Its now become a regular thing to them, although they get mistaken as a couple more often than not.

"It doesn't feel weird to me. Do you want to stop? We could stop." Dan blurts out and quickly takes his hand away from Phil's. He looks down at his black converse and lets his short brown fringe hit his matching brown eyes. Still, it felt more unnatural to not be holding Phil's hand.

Phil was about to break the silence, before the action was taken by some rolling thunder. Branches and leaves started to collide together. Than the wind and rain started to pour down from the dark grey clouds, though you couldn't see the clowns with the black sky and the only natural resource of light was the dim moon.

The only reason that the boys were out so late was to get a midnight snack, as Dan had been complaining about how hungry he was earlier. They usually stay up until they saw the sun anyways, so staying up late was normal for the two. Phil had an almost cold pizza in his arm, and Dan carried the drink.

The rain had gradually gotten more and more intense. "I know you hate physical activity, Dan, but I think we've got to run home." Phil shouted over the sounds of the storm getting even worse.

Dan only nodded. They started to a run through the busier parts of London. Not very many people were out, but enough to get in their way, splitting two apart.

"Dan!" Phil called out desperately, regretting letting go of his hand in the first place. If he hadn't, they still would of been attached.

"Phil!" Dan shouted. There were about twelve people in between the two now.

Everything seemed like a blur to the them. Phil was pushing between the people to make his way back to Dan, who looked like a lost little puppy. Phil forgot that his best friend was afraid of the dark and trees, so Dan just stood there, looking like he was about to cry.

Phil pushed through the last few people and made eye contact with Dan. When he saw the frightened look on Dan's face and gave him a sympathetic look. "C'mon, Dan. Lets get home and get dry."

It wasn't exactly a long jog home, but that was enough time for each boy to be soaked in rain water from head to toe. "Lets go and dry off, than we can sit in the lounge and eat." Phil instructed.

They both went into their rooms to dry off and change into their pajamas, and as planned met back and sat on the couch, with My Neighbour Totoro ready to play on the TV.

Phil went to go and latch onto Dan's hand, as Dan was way too anxious to make the first move after what Phil said.

"I thought you said that this was weird?" Dan questioned, but he wasn't upset. Both of the boys knew that what they had was beyond platonic. They both knew that they wanted it to be love. It already was love, they were just too scared to admit it.

"I thought it was weird yes." Phil paused and felt his cheeks go bright pink. "I thought that it was a weird thing for friends to do. Friends don't do this Dan."

"What are you on about?" He knew exactly what Phil was trying to imply. He just wanted to hear him say it.

Phil stayed silent, but squeezed Dan's hand tighter, as if he would slip away if he didn't. "You love me, don't you Phil?" Dan chuckled, and so did Phil.

Phil nodded. "Is that alright with you?" He asked.

"As if that's even a question!" Dan laughed again.

Phil turned to look into Dan's beautiful Brown orbs with his blue ones. "So.. you love me back?"

"I've loved you ever since that first hug in 2009, Phil. I cant believe that its taken you this long to comprehend how much I absolutely adore you!" Dan said flamboyantly.

Phil's heart started to thump out of his chest, unable to structure words into sentences. Although for that moment he didn't need to, as Dan's lips were already softly colliding with his. The kiss wasn't heated, no but full of love. Love that had been reserved for so long.

Dan parted from Phil's lips. Phil let out a shaky breath and started to laugh hysterically. "What's so funny Lion?" Dan asked, breaking out into laughter himself.

Phil flung his arms around Dan's neck and hid his now extremely red face into Dan's neck.

"You're cute, love" Dan says holding him tighter "You always have been.

Phil's separates from Dan's embrace and holds both of his hands in his own, pulling him in for another kiss, all he wanted was the taste of Dan's minty chap-stick on his lips. All he wanted was to be as close as humanly possible with Dan, and Dan felt the exact same.

They spent the rest of their night under Dan's duvet and Phil laid down on the taller boys chest, eating pizza and eventually crying at the end of My Neighbour Totoro.
