"Veppi?" Vesper's little brother, Toni, called from the inside of his room. "Hold on a second bud," Vesper said, her brothers walked in closer. Yes, their home was that big.

She pulled open a dresser humming lightly to herself as she took out the neatly folded shark-themed pajamas for Toni to wear. They were his favorite as he wore them regularly.

With the things in hand, Vesper walked into the room seeing the two-year-old sitting on the bed patiently, with a towel wrapped around his freshly showered body.

" Veppi!"

The cute little brown-haired boy smiled sleepy as his older sister made her way into his view. Still struggling to pronounce Vesper's name properly.

" Hey! Look what I got, fishies!" Vesper's voice was higher pitched as she spoke to her brother with a gentle smile. Vesper along with everyone else who have ever met Toni melted at his cute little grin identical to his sister as well as her eyes.

" Alright, let's get you changed" Vesper grabbed the fluffy towel, drying his little body more properly kissing his forehead lightly when he shivered with the cold air.

She quickly slipped on the pajamas without a problem watching Toni yawn tiredly " All set. Now let's get you to bed buddy" She picked him up holding his little body close as she pulled back the blue comforter on his small bed.

Patting down the pillow she lowered him in gently smiling as he snuggled into his thick comforter. " You want me to read you a bedtime story bud?" Vesper asked him softly, tucking the comforter in from the sides.

He nodded quickly, showing a small sleepy smile that made Vesper chuckle. It was routine for both of them. Vesper made sure Toni was nice and full from his dinner although Vesper wasn't an expert cook. She knew enough of the basics to not leave them both with food poisoning.

With their parents regularly missing for dinner or in general they were always left alone. Vesper couldn't remember the last time they had actually sat down as a family and ate together. Minus the time Vesper was forced to go to one of those weird church dinner parties they regularly attend.  It's the worst, they're forced to wear formal clothes that Vesper hated.

Their parents never seem to be around so it was all up to Vesper to make sure everything was set in their home. She made sure the babysitter got her paycheck, she made sure Toni was fed and ate his daily fruits and veggies. She made sure he was showered and taken care of. It was all left to her, it was overwhelming at times but she loved her little brother and if she was being honest, she didn't mind it all that much.

Taking a book from the white bookshelf Vesper read, her voice soft and quiet, bringing the little boy into a deep sleep.

Vesper causally leaned against her locker door, keeping her ears peeled as she listened in on Quinn's and Finn's conversation.  She didn't bother to hide it as she mindlessly played on her phone.

Vesper glanced up and saw Rachel, who stood a couple of lockers away doing the same. She used a small mirror pretending to check up on her nonexistent makeup to catch glances at the arguing couple behind her, failing to be sneaky.

"We are in the line to be the most popular kids in this school over the next couple of years" Quinn kept her voice hushed, hoping to not let any bystanders listen in. Her pretty face was flushed with annoyance as Finn mindlessly muttered in agreement.

" Prom King and Queen! Homecoming court royalty, I'm not giving up those shiny crowns just so you can "express yourself" Quinn ranted out angrily, holding up her fingers in quotations.
