EWAN ba ni Ali pero pakiramdam niya tinadhana siya ngayon para makita si Raiden na ngayon ay naka upo sa garden cafè kung saan din pumunta si Ali para bumili ng kape.
Naka upo ito habang may binabasang libro kaya lumapit si Ali rito tsaka umupo sa kaharap nitong upuan.
Kaagad na nabaling ang atensyon ng lalake sakaniya at mukhang hindi na ito nagulat na nakita siya nito.
"What is it this time, woman?" Kalmadong tanong nito sakaniya habang nagbabasa ito ng libro.
"Well, I think it's destiny to meet you here. You know, there's always a reason in everything!" Masiglang sabi ni Ali habang nakatingin sa lalake, ang guwapo talaga nito. Parang gusto niyang angkinin. Well, since wala pa siyang work nowadays, why not settle with someone now? Joke. Ewan. Pero ramdam ni Ali that she wants to pursue this guy.
"I don't believe in destiny." Simpleng sagot nito sakaniya at napasimangot naman si Ali, boring naman kausap nito.
Nag isip muna ng topic si Ali habang umiinom ng kape hanggang sa naalala niya ang halimaw na umatake sakaniya ng isang gabi.
"So as I was thinking, what was that monster the other night? First time kong makita yun." Well, mukhang may ibang halimaw pa kaisa sakaniya.
Napatigil naman sa pagbabasa ng libro si Raiden at napatingin ang mata nito kay Ali.
"Why are you interested?"
Napa ayos naman ng upo si Ali at tumingin ng diretso kay Raiden. "Well it's something that is not normal to see in this island. Kapag merong ganon, ibig sabihin there must be dangerous going on here."
Binaba naman nito ang libro at hinarap din siya.
"Well, can you keep a secret?" Panghahamon na tanong nito sakaniya.
"Of course!" Nakangiting sabi ni Ali.
"Once I tell you this, you will be much aware on what's going on with our island and hopefully, you can protect yourself from them." Seryosong sabi nito sakaniya, hindi maiwasan ni Ali na kabahan kasi bago ito para sakaniya, tsaka maraming alam itong taong nasa harapan niya. He must be really aware on what's going on in their community.
"The one who attacked you last night was the one I was chasing. Ilang buwan na rin itong hinahanap since it's been causing chaos in this Island."
"What kind of chaos?" Puno ng kuryosidad na tanong ni Ali at napasandal naman si Raiden sa sariling upuan nito at napahalukipkip habang seryosong naka tingin sakaniya.
"It's eating a wizard or enchanters' soul." Nanlaki naman ang mata ni Ali sa gulat at napatakip sa sariling labi, hindi siya makapaniwala sa narinig niya. Kaya pala parang kakainin siya ng halimaw nung isang gabi because he was planning to eat her soul?? My gosh thinking about that made her feel goosebumps.
"And what happens if it eats our soul??"
"The monster will evolve into a stronger version. They will obtain a super strength which they can even crush you into pieces while there are several cases that they can obtain the power of the soul they eaten. Just like the monster last night, as you saw after I killed him, he became a black stone with orange light around it. That guy just eaten a fire weilder's soul and he was able to use it. While for those who have only super strength it will be only a black stone." Ali can't believe that there's something going on like this in their island and she is clueless about it. Well, hindi lang naman siya siguro ang clueless..marami ding iba.
"Is there a cases like, they can obtain both super strength and use magic?" Tanong naman kaagad ni Ali. Kaagad na tumango si Raiden bilang pag sagot.
"But then, that's a rare case. I've only seen 3 cases like that a few years ago. It takes 2 enchanters to finish a 1 monster."
Mindblowing nga naman ang mga detalye na nalaman niya ngayon. Most especially, ilang taon na rin pala ito nangyayare.
