"I DIDN'T HIRE YOU simply to get us across the fold." Kaz said, a young man with a sharp mind and a ruthless streak. He grew up on the streets of Ketterdam, and he's had to fight every step of the way to get where he is. He's the leader of the Dregs- a gang of criminals who operate in the city's seedy underbelly. Kaz is known for his cunning and his ability to stay one step ahead of his enemies. He's also haunted by the memories of his past, which drive him to seek revenge against those who have wronged him. Despite his tough exterior, Kaz cares deeply for his friends and will do anything to protect them.
"You are with us because you smuggle Grisha out of the Little Palace, and that's the location of our target."
"Sun summoner." Inej interrupted, a skilled spy and a member of Kaz Brekker's gang. She's known as the Wraith because of her ability to move unseen and unheard. Inej is a survivor who has overcome a traumatic past, and she's fiercely independent. She's also deeply loyal to her friends and will do whatever it takes to protect them. Inej is a complex person who struggles with her own demons, but she's determined to make a better life for herself and those she cares about.

"They wouldn't keep a fraud in the most secure location in all of Ravka." Inej responded, as Jesper smiled, he is a sharpshooter and a member of Kaz Brekker's gang- the Dregs. He's known for his quick wit and his love of gambling. Jesper is a bit of a wildcard, but he's also fiercely loyal to his friends. He's a skilled marksman who can shoot the wings off a fly, but he's also a bit of a troublemaker who enjoys pushing boundaries. Jesper has a complicated relationship with his father, and he often uses gambling as a way to escape his problems. Despite his flaws, Jesper is a valuable member of the Dregs and will do whatever it takes to protect his friends.
