ೃ⁀➷ SECRET SPOT *ੈ✩‧₊˚

Juliette stirred awake by the sound of her alarm clock ringing into her ears, groaning she turned the alarm clock off and laid in bed for a few moments and soon mustered the motivation to roll out of bed

She pulled on a sweater and a skirt, fixed her unruly bed hair, and finally added some mascara and blush to look decently presettable. She headed downstairs to her mom making breakfast, "good morning hun!" Her mom greeted her with a kiss on the head.

"Morning mom" She yawned and sat down and began eating her breakfast. Her dad sat engrossed in the newest edition of the newspaper and a cup of coffee while Steven was chowing down more and more food than any normal person would eat.

She looked to her older brother with a scrunched up nose as he looked at her and rolled his eyes. "Is something wrong?" He asked annoyed with a mouthful of food, she rolled her eyes in response and never responded. Shortly after she finished her breakfast and put on her shoes, "Are you walking today hun?" Juliettes mom asked as she nodded her head, "yeah" she answered and grabbed her books.

She waved goodbye to her parents as she set down the road to the journey to school. As she was nearly there she heard someone call her name, she turned her head to look behind her to see a out of breath Ponyboy wheezing.

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly but soon let out a small laugh, "man i have to quit smoking" he managed to choke out and caught up to her as she laughed. "Dont you run track?" She raised a eyebrow at him as he gulped nervously and fiddled with his fingers.

"Yeah" he mumbled embarrassed and then rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand, "then you really should quit ponyboy" she told him as he nodded his head and laughed a little, "i try but i only do it because i get real stressed sometimes" He explained as she nodded her head as she listened to him.

"Just maybe try to find something else to do when your stressed?" She offered as he nodded his head "ill have to try that some time" he replied as he looked at the girl who smiled in triumph.

The two were nearing the school and Juliette could already feel the stares on her and Ponyboy, which made her feel more self conscious than she should be. "I gotta go but ill see you around" Ponyboy waved goodbye to her as she nodded her head and looked around nervously to the socs glaring at her.

She saw him walk over to group of greasers as they stared at her which made her feel uneasy and made her want to dig a hole and burrow in it. Rebeca ran up to her as she neared the front doors of the school, "what the hell were you doing with that piece of trash?" She asked irritated and embarrassed, Juliette bit her lip nervously while looking at her embarrassed friend.

"I was just talking to him, nothing serious" Juliette replied and walked into to school, "yeah well i cant be seen with you if you do that type of that crap" she spat as Juliette mumbled something incoherently and walked off to her locker.

Her morning was already turning out "great" and it wasn't even damn near 8 am. Sighing she opened her locker and grabbed her books she needed for her first few classes.

Juliette felt like she was overthinking the entire situation but swore she felt stares follow her throughout the crowded winding hallways, people were so dramatic in this school. She finally made it to her first class and sat down in her normal seat and already waiting for the day to be over.

The day had dragged on longer than what it should have, the last school bell rang as everyone shot up from their seats and were ready to to leave. Rushing to her locker Juliette swiftly put her books away and walked out.

Going to her usual activity after school which was the library she started walking and felt a presence walking next to her, "hey Juliette!" Ponyboy spoke from next to her "oh hi ponyboy!" She greeted him as he gave her a small smile. "My friends kept askin bout you all day" Ponyboy fidgeted with his fingers as Juliette laughed.

"Mine too dont worry" she replied as he let out a small laugh, the two teenagers walked in a comfortable silence till they reached the library. Before they went in ponyboy lit a cigarette as Juliette looked at him with a knowing look.

"What?" He mumbled as he took a drag from it, "do you not remember our talk?" She asked him as his eyes widened. "Oh rightt" he dragged out the t as Juliette sighed. "Whatever you do you horse boy" she brushed past him smiling and walked into the library as he gaped his mouth open.

"Hey!" He shouted with his voice turning a bit squeaky towards the end. He soon stomped on the cigarette with his converse and walked into the library. He found where Juliette was sitting and sat next to her, she turned her head to look at him.

"Back so soon?" She teased as Ponyboy let out a exasperated sigh, "oh my god" the curtis boy looked to the girl annoyed. She let out a small laugh as he laughed too, Juliette went back to reading her book as he stared at her side profile.

He couldn't lie to himself he was starting to develop a crush on her, hopefully just a innocent one right? There was little to no harm to have teeny little crush on her.

He nudged her shoulder as she turned to him confused, "is something wrong?" She asked as he shook his head, "no im just bored can we go somewhere else?" He pleaded as she bit her cheek contemplating on her answer.

"I dont know im not allowed to be out super late" she responded as his eyes searched her face, "oh cmon ill get ya home before your curfew" He promised as she rolled her eyes playfully. "Sure lets go" she closed her book as Ponyboy smiled and grabbed her arm.

"Alright then lets go" he pulled her out of her seat and the two walked out together, "so where are we going?" She asked and turned to him, "you'll see" he took her hand and started to run ahead of her.

"Ponyboy!" She squealed as she matched his running pace, soon they reached the secret spot which was a little hill overlooking the sky and part of town. Julie stared wonderstruck at the sunset. "Its my favorite spot to come when i need to cool down" Ponyboy told her as he stood next to her.

"Its beautiful" she smiled and turned to him as he smiled back at her, the first real genuine smile shes seen from him. The two sat together for awhile staring at the sky and talked about their lives.

"I should get back its getting a little late" Juliette checked her watch and glanced back up to him, "sorry my parents are strict" she sighed and sat up as he stood up too. "Do you want me to walk you back?" He offered as she nodded her head.

"Yeah if your okay with that" she replied shyly as he nodded "i dont mind" he replied as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, the two ventured down the hill and closer to town, julie started to shiver after the sudden temperature drop. Ponyboy unzipped his jacket and put it around her cold body.

"Thanks" she smiled up at him as he blushed a little "no problem" he looked down to her, as they neared her block "you probably shouldn't walk me up to my house, but thank you for tonight" she smiled and handed his jacket back to him. "Oh no keep it" he tried to hand it back to her but Juliette shook her head.

"My parents would suspect something, and my brother would interrogate me" she bit her lip as he nodded a bit disappointed, she leaned up on her tippy toes and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Bye ponyboy!" She shouted as she waved goodbye. He smiled and waved goodbye and held his cheek where she kissed him at.
