For those of you that have been waiting, or watching for the the last book of this series to come out, thank you.
I was struggling to write this, as the beginning is complicated and I wanted it to be easily understood so please bear with me.
Nevertheless, it's been 6 months since my last chapter for the Scorch Trials was published and I have dug up the motivation to write the next book. I'm out of school now and have more time on my hands than I know what to do with, so chapters should be more frequent. 🤞

Her face was lifted towards the sky in resolution. Moments passed and the wind on the sandy landscape blew through her hair. The verdict of the situation. A rescue mission.
And yet here she was enjoying the grotesque beauty. A true wonder in how they survived and are still standing upright on two feet. Behind her, the wind fitted the loose shirt to her form. When the breeze stopped, she felt a breath on her neck. She knew it was time to let it all go. They had a mission after all.
She took one more moment as warm arms wrapped around her middle and a soft whisper in her ear sent shivers down her spine.
"We have to go, y/n. It's now or never."
