I woke up quickly because I heard someone scream or squeal or something. But when I woke up, I was in Joey's arms laying on his chest. I looked up and seen Val and Allena looking at us with excitement.
"Soooooo??" Val said grinning.
No one said anything.
I yawned. I didn't want to get up. I wanted to stay in Joey's arms listening to his heartbeat, it's comforting to me. Besides I was still tired, and waking up to the sound of someone screaming isn't the best way to be woken up. I lifted my head off of Joey and looked at them both tiredly.
"We'll leave you two alone." Val said smirking at me as she walked off.
I laid my head back down on Joey.
"You seem like you're very tired." Joey said as he ran his fingers through my hair.
"Mhm." I hummed in response.
"Did you sleep at all last night?"
"No, not really.."
"Oh, how come?"
"I'm not sure, I don't feel comfortable sleeping at home. Why? I'm not sure."
He stayed quiet for a moment. And then said, "Well, if you want to, maybe you can come over to my place and try to sleep there?"
"Yeah, sure" I responded. "When?" I questioned.
"Tonight? After trying to get a spot in Paul's band?" He responded.
"Yeah, sounds good."
