I'm Done

Hissing with fierce determination, I watched as the world around me regained clarity. The dying rays of the sun cast a shimmering glow, and the ulimasuarus's blood dripped down upon me, meeting my ember eyes.

Without hesitation, I lunged, my jaws clamping down on his snout, eliciting a painful squeal as he thrashed in my grip. Though smaller in stature, I possessed strength and a cunning intellect that he lacked.

With a surge of power that threatened to snap my own neck, I rammed him forcefully into the ground, shattering the tile floor upon impact. The tremors rippled through the surroundings, his tail colliding with the wall, reducing it to rubble and sending shards of glass flying in all directions. Humans screamed and scattered, startled by the unexpected awakening of my fierce nature.

But I had reached my limit. No more would I fall for traps, nor bow before larger creatures. I am an Indoraptor, and I refuse to submit.

"Grr! Let me go, you rat!" the hybrid snarled defiantly, his words muffled and strained in my relentless grip. I hissed, my claws digging deeper into his thick neck, exerting pressure with each passing moment. Thoughts raced through my mind, fueled by the memories of my fallen friends. Hope. Shadow. He had taken them from me, stolen their lives, and now he would pay the price.

After what felt like an eternity, the colossal beast managed to shake himself free from my hold, flinging me into the crumbling wall with a mighty force. A roar of pain escaped my throat as bricks rained down upon my broken ribs, my battered body buckling under their weight. It should have been a fatal blow, had I been as fragile as those mere mortals.

But I was not.

I was far more powerful than that.

Hissing, I rose on shaky legs, shaking off the dust that clung to my scales. The ulimasuarus hissed in response, the bite wound I had inflicted oozing scarlet blood, staining his menacing teeth. "You should have died in that mansion, Ripper," he growled, lashing his spiked tail, which acted as a club, causing another wall to crumble. His forelimbs bore long, saber-like claws, reminiscent of my own. However, I knew he would employ them without hesitation, unburdened by mercy.

And from this point on, neither would I.

"Death... claims..." I snarled, the words dripping from my fangs, as my breaths came in ragged bursts. The pain in my ribcage throbbed, a testament to the fractures that had not mended, and this battle alone would not grant them solace. Yet, I would fight with every ounce of strength, driven by a purpose to avenge the stolen and denied, to cast aside the shackles of mercy.

Love, a fleeting ember, destined to fade.

In the midst of the chaos, a thunderous echo reverberated through the crumbling halls. A bullet, aimed for my heart, raced with malicious intent. My instincts, honed through relentless battles, guided me with precision, dancing aside as it missed its mark. Amidst the wreckage, a figure emerged, one I dreaded to face — the maker of my existence, Dr. Henry Wu.

His countenance twisted into a perverse smile, pale visage etched with the remnants of his tainted deeds. Once sleek and ordered, his black tresses now tousled, tendrils reaching towards his eyes. The garments that once proclaimed his authority, a lab coat, lay torn and besmirched, its seams stained with blood.

He appeared a mere specter of his former self, worn by the tempest we had unleashed.

"Good to see you alive, even though I commanded them to show no mercy," he hissed, the gun pointing once again in my direction. "Alas, one must always take matters into their own hands to ensure completion, don't you agree?" I remained silent, my instincts guiding me to lunge forward. Memories of the horrors he had inflicted upon me surged, the torment, the manipulation, the wounds and suffering he had orchestrated.

Spoiled, indeed.

And now, his torment would come to an end. His reign would crumble amidst blood and fire.

Wu let out a startled, heavy breath as my claws slashed across his arm, severing it from his body. It thudded to the ground, a crimson pool forming beneath it. A twisted smirk adorned my black snout, the hybrid I once was fading into insignificance.

Wu stumbled backward, panic in his eyes. "Whoa, easy there, big guy. I-I'm not here for killing," he stammered, attempting to plead for mercy. I snarled in response, my raptor instincts taking hold, as I slowly closed in on him, relishing the opportunity to show him the same lack of mercy he had shown me.

"P-Please," he begged as he fell to the ground with a thud, his back pressed against the blood-stained wall. My snout pressed against his chest, emitting ragged breaths, the fire within me burning fiercely. My ember eyes locked onto his brown ones, baring my teeth in a snarl, my pink tongue stained with blood. "You never showed me any mercy, did you? You wanted to sell me, stuff me up for others to watch. Well, I'm done following your orders. I am no longer your obedient lapdog. I am an indoraptor, and I will never, ever again succumb to mankind's tyranny!"

With a violent tilt of my head, my jaws sprang open, releasing one last roar before everything dissolved into a crimson haze.
