The dragon's towering presence cast a shadow over us, signaling our impending doom. But I refused to surrender without a fight. With a surge of determination, I broke free from my daze and lunged at the InGen soldiers, my claws poised for battle. Yet, before I could reach them, I was flung through the air, crashing into a store with a cacophony of shattering glass and splintering wood. The pain seared through my scales as the cruel embrace of splinters tore at my flesh. I roared in agony, writhing on the floor, only to be ensnared by the dragon's massive talon, its snarling jaws poised to strike. "Wu should've dealt with you first, you vermin," the dragon growled, its words laced with venom. "But now, I am forced to do his dirty work."
"Y-you can't serve him," I spat, blood trickling from my mouth. "He will kill you, just like the rest of us, once he's done with me." The dragon gurgled, flicking its forked tongue in and out before drawing its head back. "Yeah, right. He could've ended me long before creating me. You're delusional, Ripper. Wu has a special place for me, not for the failures of his projects. You will perish to make way for a new generation, and with it, the true dinosaurs shall rise," she smirked. She lifted her claws, cupping me within them, but still holding tight, a clear warning that any false move would result in my bones being crushed.
"My friends won't let you..." I started to say, but she cut me off with a snarl. "An Indoraptor doesn't have friends, fool," she sneered. With a swift motion, she flung me against the store once again, this time crashing into a window that cracked but held under my weight. I slumped down on the floor, trembling from the aftershocks coursing through my body. The copper bullets still festered inside me, threatening my life. Can't... yet, I thought, curling my claws in. I must go on. I must find my friends. "Tch, there's still some fight left," grunted the dragon, drawing back to give me a chance to stand, perhaps offering a glimmer of hope. She wasn't doing what she should've done -- unleashing her fiery breath upon me, ending it all. Instead, she toyed with us, giving us a false sense of hope that life might be on our side
With a hiss that echoed through the air, I rose to my talons, trembling like a delicate leaf on a swaying branch. The dragon sneered at me, its voice dripping with arrogance, "Why don't you give up, vermin? You're beaten, your friends lie lifeless, and Ignen stands at your very door. Surrender now, and I shall grant you a swift end." My head shook in defiance, a flicker of determination igniting within my eyes. "You are mistaken," I declared, my voice filled with unwavering conviction. "An Indoraptor may be feared and solitary, but I have allies who will never abandon me." A surge of courage propelled me forward, and I lunged at the dragon's snout, clawing my way up to its mighty shoulders. With jaws filled with resolve, I sank my teeth into a vulnerable patch of scales, untouched by the scars of battle. A thunderous roar erupted from the dragon's throat as it thrashed and toppled, bringing the very structure around us crashing down like shards of shattered dreams. The air filled with a swirling dance of glass fragments, each one a snowflake of danger, pelting against my resilient hide. Yet, I clung on tenaciously, my grip unyielding, as the beast soared into the heavens, carried by the gusts of its ascent. Tears welled in my eyes, not from fear, but from the sheer exhilaration of defying the odds and embracing the untamed spirit within me.
With a desperate surge of strength, I fought against the crushing grip of her jaws, my scales shimmering in defiance. The world spun around me, a whirlwind of chaos and impending doom. Through the haze, I caught glimpses of the city below, its once vibrant streets now reduced to rubble and ashes. The air crackled with electricity as Red, his eyes filled with determination, charged at the colossal beast, his horns a beacon of hope. But the dragon remained unfazed, her monstrous form a testament to her indomitable power. I cried out in a symphony of fear, anger, and pain, my voice echoing through the desolate landscape. Yet, even in the face of imminent destruction, a flicker of resilience burned within me. I refused to surrender, to let darkness claim me. With every ounce of strength I could muster, I summoned the courage to face the dragon head-on, knowing that my fate hung in the balance.
As the dragon finally released her grip, the last bone in my body cracked, and I slumped to the ground, a lifeless heap. A shaky, bloody breath escaped my lips as my eyes fluttered, threatening to close forever. "No, no, no," Red grumbled, his horns bloody and bent from his valiant but futile attempt to save me. The dragon loomed over us, her lips peeled back to reveal menacing fangs that could easily have sealed my fate. Yet, for some reason, she hesitated, merely staring down at us. Red nuzzled me, and Blue limped over, their presence a comforting balm amidst the chaos. But despite their efforts, my broken body could not go on. Weakly, I thought to myself, So this is how it ends? I meet my demise in the jaws of a dragon.
"Don't die now, Ripper, please! We're so close to the bridge of freedom," Blue whimpered, her gray snout trembling with worry. I gazed at her, my eyes rolling in their sockets, a mixture of pain and regret. "Sorry, Blue, truly sorry...," I huffed, blood spattering and sizzling on the ground. A serene smile settled upon my face as darkness enveloped me. "Take care of Red, make sure he finds his way. He can carry on without me, and I trust him," I shuddered, my voice fading. "I'm so sorry..." But no more words escaped my lips as I succumbed to the final embrace of darkness.
