Pierce's P.O.V
I gaze out from the silver bars that caged around me on all four sides of the room. For a prison, it was quite spacious... and comfortable. It had all the comforts expected of a room. A feather bed, dresser filled with clothes, even my own personal bathroom that came with a door. However, the bars always reminded me of where I'm at.
My hands wrap around the cold silver ignoring the burning sensation going through me. For weeks, I had tried to pry away these bars and they would not budge an inch. I kneel down and press my head against them not wanting to come to terms with my situation. I had promised Cassius and I will keep my promise to him.
"Ah, you're up early again. Wanted to be alone with your thoughts, I gather?" Josias says. I watch him move around some things before standing in front of me. All I ever had given to this thing was a sneer and look full of disgust. He was a blasphemous thing... a human and a werewolf creation. "If you keep up with this, you may never step foot outside again."
"And what would you have me do? Bow down to these things? Call myself a beast and be little less than a slave to them as you are now?" I snarl only for him to drop his eyes.
"I would have you live."
"Josias!" He quickly rises and turns around before lowering his head. "... Master."
"How does your charge fair?"Nathaniel says.
"He is well, Master."
"You seemed to have patched him up well. I thought he would be dead by now. Hm, matters not to me." I watch as a blonde haired man walks up to me and looks down on me with pure satisfaction.
"Arthur, did you not say there was a pretty auburn-haired one? The things I would have done to that one." I close my eyes madly doing my best not to react as they wish I would. If they know I am his mate...things would not end well for him. I know he'd drop everything to be with me and that's something I do not wish to happen.
"Nathaniel, this one would rip your head off. He is one of them Eastern werewolves. The most vicious of the three packs. Do not try anything with this one. Let's find you another one instead. We have a couple in the other cabins." My hands grip the bars tightly in anger.
"Why don't you keep this one entertained? Nathaniel says.
Arthur unlocks the cage door before shoving him inside." Soon, they both break out into laughter before leaving back out the door they came in from. I turn my head towards him, but he does nothing but stare at me with wide eyes before they narrow. This has happened to him plenty of times, I conclude before staring back out through the bars.
"Well," Josias says.
"Don't come near me or I will sever your head from your body," I say in a detached voice causing a wave of fear to come wafting pass me.
"Just have me as you wish and be done with it."
"That's a sick idea to even entertain. I will not let my hands touch something as vile as you," I growl in disgust.
"Ah, most don't mind. I'm merely a means to an end."
I shoot him a look before unlacing my hands from around the bars. "They are usually like how you are now... but they come around, eventually."
"Listen, I will not lay a hand on you. After all, you had... helped me. In return, I will help you. Consider this my thanks and my repayment."
I let my eyes linger on his dark, blue eyes, and honey-colored hair. He is quite small for a were which gives way to his human side. A little squeeze and I could break him as easily as a branch.
