𝐈 𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑with the key Graham gave me when he first moved in a while ago. When I walked through the door, I was met by Lavonna, Graham's girlfriend.
Lavonna smiled at me and Chloe ran over barking, sniffing my legs. We hugged each other, "Girl now why you didn't tell me you were coming over? I could've cooked some food," she asks.
I bent down to pet Chloe as she laid on her side.
"Maybe I wanted to surprise y'all," I say. We both sit down. I looked up at the TV and she was watching Fear of the Walking Dead. "Where's Gam at?"
Lavonna gives me a look. "You already know he out working but he should be here in a few," she told me. He barely takes time for himself, that's another reason why I LOVE Lavonna for him. She gets him out the house and they even go on vacations.
"If he don't sit down somewhere!" Graham is an electrician but he does a little bit of everything like plumbing and mechanic work.
Before we could say a word, the door opened. A sweaty, exhausted Graham came in. "Yea let me go fix you and my man some food and a drink cause he look like he bout' to pass out," Lavonna stood up and fixed her shirt.
Graham gave us a grin as I stood up, giving him a quick hug. "Hey Gam." Lavonna pointed at the chair insisting that he sit down. "I am I am," he says.
She gave him a peck on the lips before he plopped down in the chair, sighing loudly. "What y'all want to eat?"
"Whatever you cook is fine with me," Graham replied with his eyes shut.
Lavonna looked over at me, "It doesn't matter but I wouldn't mind having some fish," I told her. She nods. "Fried or Baked?"
I shrug. "Either is fine—"
"Y'all are the most pickiest individuals I've ever met," she yelled, walking to the kitchen. Graham and I laughed at her.
Graham started dating Lavonna during my Senior year of High School. It took him a while to introduce her to me because of all his past experiences, but I will NEVER forget our first interaction. Long story short, I liked her the first moment I saw her! She brought out the best side of my dad that I haven't seen in a long time.
