4. Myoyeongak

Y/n and Yeon with an unconscious Rang on his back, ran inside Myoyeongak as they looked around clueless not knowing where to go.
It was a huge guest house of sort with music playing around as beautiful women who y/n thought were gisaengs, danced and entertained the people.

Even though the place exuded calmness, there was non in the air for y/n & Yeon. In the haste of things, Yeon stumbled into an old man who just cursed and picked up his stash of cash that fell on the ground, hurriedly walking away.

The two somehow found a way and got a room, they laid Rang down on the mattress as y/n spoke first.
''It was him, right ? The red white mask.'' Y/n said with no emotion in her eyes, something Yeon had never seen before.
''I'll make sure to repay him for what he did.'' Yeon said with a stern face.
''I hope he doesnt meet me, cause i'll make him regret every bit of what he's done today.'' Y/n said expressionless.

''But first we'll need to save Rang. Why did he want to come here ?'' Yeon thought aloud and is if on cue someone entered the room knocking.
''Excuse me, should I call the doctor ?'' The girl asked.
''What is this place ?'' Yeon asked.
''It's Gyeongseong's finest restaurant aside from Myongwolgwan.''
''Is that all ?''
''Pardon ?''
''Look after him for a second.'' Y/n told Yeon as she got up only for the older gumiho to stop her.

''What ? Im coming too.'' He said.
''I cant leave him alone here with.... Her.'' Y/n said looking at the girl in the other corner of the room, who couldn't hear their conversation.
''Y/n, I think living with Rang all these years has had quite an effect on you. Why are you acting like him ?''
''Yeon, I just trust you here. Stay here, i'll be back in a wink.'' Y/n said walking out of the room leaving Yeon not believing what just happened.
''Rang has turned her against me. There's no way y/n would act like this.'' Yeon muttered to himself dramatically shaking his head.

''There's no way this is just a normal restaurant when Rang asked to come here in that state. I just need to find the someone or something that he thought could help him.'' Y/n spoke to herself and stopped when something caught her eye. She saw an old man talking to a good looking guy in pink robes. She went closer to hear what was going on there.
She was about to move further but the scene that played in front of her eyes made her pause. The old man had now turned younger getting up and leaving a little girl crying and screaming behind him.
''I hope it's not what I think it is.'' Y/n said feeling for the little kid who was crying miserably.

Exhaling heavily, she walked to the pink robed man, who at her arrival sent the little girl away.
''Tell me, how can I help a beautiful lady like you ?'' He said giving a slight smile as he sat back in his place.
''What are you ?'' Y/n asked knowing well he was anything but human.
''People call me long living Dong bang- sak.''
''Dong bang-sak ? The one with the longest life span in the eastern tales.'' Y/n said reminded of her past when Yeon told young Rang and her a story about the same. A story which now she believed wasn't just a fairy-tale. She felt relieved that she got her past memories back, because to her it felt like there was a reason she remembered everything. And everything made sense to her now, why Rang wanted to come here.

''I need your lifespan.'' Y/n said coming right to the point.
''Do you need it or do you need it for someone else ?''
''I dont think I need to answer that.'' Y/n said now losing her temper. She had been through enough all day and Dong bang sak's interrogation wasn't helping.
''I dont mean to pry but dont you think I should atleast know who im giving years from my life to ?''
''It's not for me. It's..... someone really important.'' Y/n said choosing her words carefully because she didn't wanted to give him a chance to use it as her weakness.

''You must know, lady, a deal with a demon comes with a price.''
''What do I have to do ?'' Y/n asked immediately.
''Draw a ball out of this box, whatever you pick, you'll have to give me that. It's quite simple.'' He said as calmly as everything he said before.
''Simple for you. Let me tell you, im not doing it if there's anything creepy written on it.'' Y/n said making him chuckle.
''Let me tell you, if I want that to happen I won't have you pick from this box.'' He said calmly with a smile but y/n felt his demeanor slightly change.
